We deliver free events and activities on Rimrose Valley Country Park, connecting communities, improving people's health and wellbeing and protecting & enhancing the local environment. We work to promote, protect and enhance the incredible piece of urban countryside that is Rimrose Valley Country Park here in South Sefton, Merseyside. We deliver fee activities and events which encourage people to b

e healthy in body and mind and projects which protect and support the natural environment. Our work connects people and communities, by bringing people together in this vital and much-loved green space.

An EXTREMELY busy week or so for our team on Rimrose and beyond!
2 x Forest School sessions delivered. The rain NEVER puts off My Outdoor Classroom so it was great to have such a strong turnout for both pre-school and primary school aged sessions.
60 Minute Heroes were busy again at the weekend. Numbers are continuously growing and it feels like new faces join us every time we get together!
Thanks to both The National Lottery Community Fund and P H Holt Foundation for making the above possible via our Nature for HEART project. Our July-Sept programme will be out soon.
Finally, a few of our team visited Netherley Park on Saturday to meet botanist Josh Styles and learn about the wildflower meadows he's creating - all using natural methods, which is something we hope to emulate in the future with our own meadows. It was a really educational and inspiring visit.

Crosby Wombles is such a fantastic community group and it's great to see them going from strength to strength.
They help keep our streets clean, but do so much more.
They've asked us to share details of their event tomorrow which is taking place on Moorside Park, Crosby - next to the bowling green, off Moorside Road.
Everyone is welcome to pop along - probably best arriving on foot/bike, wherever possible!
If you've not seen their new HQ yet, it's well worth a visit!

We had some great news recently, securing funding towards a programme of activities this summer via Liverpool City Region Combined Authority's Active Travel team!
Those of you who've been following us for a while might remember us partnering with HYPE just after COVID?
Well, we'll be working with Matt (pictured) and his team again to build people's confidence and fitness with training and rides across Rimrose this summer holidays!
There may also be the opportunity to volunteer to help deliver some of these sessions, as well as taking part, if cycling is your thing!
We'll be sharing more details, including how to sign up, soon!
