What a fantastic half term week at The Hope Foundation!

Over the course of the week, we were able to directly support more than 100 people from across our community through a range of activities and projects. From family activities and community trips to advice, support and social opportunities, it was wonderful to see so many people coming together.

A particular highlight was our Half Term Lunch Project, helping to ensure that no child goes hungry during the school holidays. We know that school breaks can place additional pressure on families, and we were delighted to provide nutritious meals and a welcoming space for children and families throughout the week.

A huge thank you to our volunteers, supporters and funders who make weeks like this possible. Your generosity and commitment help us continue supporting local people when they need it most.

We had a fantastic day yesterday at our Half Term Museum trip!

We took over 30 children and parents on a trip to Liverpool World Museum and the Planetarium. The day was packed with fun, learning and opportunities to spend quality time together.

Our group enjoyed exploring the fascinating exhibits, discovering more about the world around us, and experiencing the wonders of the Planetarium. We also enjoyed a packed lunch together, made the most of the beautiful sunshine, and finished the day with a well-deserved ice cream!

Trips like these help reduce isolation, create lasting memories, encourage learning, and give families the chance to enjoy experiences they may not otherwise have access to.

A huge thank you to everyone who joined us and helped make the day so special, and an extra special thank you to Feeding Britain who helped make this trip possible. We can't wait for the next adventure!

Thanks to recent funding support, we’ve been able to carry out a mini renovation of our community space, creating a brighter, more welcoming and more versatile environment for everyone who visits. The improvements have helped transform the centre into an even warmer community hub that can be used across all of our projects and activities.

Our space is home to parent and toddler groups, social groups, cooking classes, digital inclusion sessions, drop-in support, and our upcoming food pantry, alongside many other community activities. These upgrades will help ensure that everyone who walks through our doors feels comfortable, valued and supported in a safe and welcoming environment.

What a fantastic Easter half term it has been for our community!

We had an amazing trip to Croxteth Hall Country Park and Farm, taking a group of 18 adults and 24 children for a brilliant day out. Families enjoyed a relaxed picnic together, and the children loved meeting, interacting with, and feeding a wide range of animals. It was a day full of laughter, connection, and lasting memories.

Alongside this, we supported families through our holiday lunch provision, providing over 30 packed lunches across two days to help ensure children had access to food during the school break. Some families shared how they took these to the park for picnics together.

We also hosted a community Easter meal, welcoming over 32 people for a full roast dinner, with games, crafts, and prizes for all.

A week full of support, joy, and community at its best.
