TEDX HOPE STREET SPEAKER APPLICATIONS ARE NOW OPEN!

That's right, people! If you have an idea worth sharing (and you want to share it!) then get applying now...

I only have 12 slots available - so make sure you put your best foot forward!

Head over to tedxhopestreet.com now and submit by 5th June - you have 1 month!

On a separate and equally important note, I'm so happy with the damn website!

How funky is it.

All thanks to the guys over at Sood who have generously donated this website to help the TEDxHopeStreet cause and I had the pleasure of working with the amazing Hannah Macey who has made the entire process smooth and seamless 👌🏾

Sarah Davies are you ready to start reading some speaker applications?! I know I am!

I've been sitting on some exciting news since early December, and waiting for the right moment to share it with my network, so here it is...

I've been granted my own TEDx licence! 🥳

The license name is TEDxHope Street, and I'm looking for people with a message of hope (and a TED talk in them) to step up and make the stage!

Why Hope Street?

Two main reasons really.

Firstly, I lived here for 7 years and during that time I overcame two years of loneliness after reaching out to the community there.

I attended Improv classes with Liverpool Comedy Improv (still running classes in The Arts Bar on Hope Street) and attended Liverpool City Toastmasters simply to rediscover my own voice!

Fast-forward a few years, and here I am, coaching speakers on how to get their message across, and feeling blessed for the amazing network I've built around me.

Secondly, we live in an increasingly polarised world, and what better symbol of reconciliation than two Cathedrals from different denominations who regularly talk to each other, linked by a street called Hope?

Meeting in the middle takes courage, and having the audacity to hope takes more internal resources than people make out.

So that's why I'm theming the first event (of at least 5!) as:

"Dare to hope"

I wouldn't have been able to get the license without the help of all the awesome people at TED Conferences, which I was fortunate enough to attend in Atlanta in November 2025.

looking forward to where this journey takes me - watch this space!
