Are you a Black Cab driver, or do you know someone who might be interested in a regular, rewarding run?

We’re looking for a patient, calm and reliable driver to join our extended Remember Me family and provide transport to and from our Aintree Day Centre.

❤️ This isn’t just a taxi run. You’ll be seeing the same familiar faces each day, getting to know our wonderful clients and their families, and becoming an important part of their routine.

We already have 3 fantastic Black Cab drivers who work alongside us and absolutely love what they do. Their runs are now full, along with our own transport service, so we’re looking for another driver to join us.

🚗 What’s involved?
• Morning and late afternoon runs to and from our Aintree Centre
• Transporting people with and without dementia
• Building relationships with the same clients each day
• Some clients may use walking aids, wheelchairs or Zimmer frames, whilst many are independently mobile
• Saturday run also available for anyone interested

📚 Dementia awareness training provided
No previous dementia experience is necessary. We will provide dementia awareness training and will pay you for your time attending.

💷 Payment
You’ll be paid directly by the person you’re collecting, or by us where transport is funded.

UPDATE:- Long lane now reopen we really hope whoever was involved in the road accident is ok 😢

As you all know the traffic situation around us on long lane and surrounding areas is horrendous and sadly we’ve just been told by our driver who’s been stopped on long lane for over an hour that she’s been told someone may have been ran over. (We have no other details regarding the situation )

Due to this incident long lane is now closed until further notice soon as we know the road is open again we will let you know, however long lane is the only road in and out whilst brookefield drive is closed.

Any families who are stuck in traffic over the next 2 weeks whilst brookefield drive is closed please do not panic our team are fully aware of the situation -if you can, please leave a little earlier than usual and please drive safely we know the roads are moving at a snails pace.

Tomorrow 5th June roadworks will also start on the Lancs and lower lane which makes me wonder what these traffic management people are actually managing when it’s already absolute mayhem & causing so much chaos.

Take it away Joan……….. 🙌🏼♥️. The Traffic is absolutely awful around the centre due to roadworks (again) 🙄 and so we have given the queues of cars something to smile about whilst waiting. If it’s a sunny day and your heading up Hanson road likely to be stuck in traffic over the next 3 weeks you’ll most definitely get a song, a wave 👋🏽 or just something to make you smile.

After 3 weeks apart Rebecca & Ronnie have finally reunited for cuddles and a gab 🥰 the smiles from Ronnie speak a thousand words this is just the cutest.

Myself and Ronnie have been suffering from a bit of separation anxiety 🤣🤣 So Gillian made us both a video diary. I’ve been up in halewood for the past 3 weeks and even though I’m not finished (in the slightest) I’m missing everyone too much so I’ll be back in Aintree next week for some love, hugs & kisses. I’m owed hundreds. Ronnie comes straight to my office of a morning for a hug,a chat and sometimes a moan, we love a good morning moan 🤣 and I haven’t been there but he’s still been checking each morning . ( Although I don’t think he recognises me at first because I look like Worzel Gummidge from doing all the centre renovations )

The best part is getting to enjoy the fruits of their hard work.

Today’s official taste test results were:
⭐️ Eileen – a fantastic 10/10!
⭐️ Eddie – a slightly tougher judge with 5/10! 😂

We can’t please everyone, Eddie! 🤣

There’s something so special about watching things grow from seed and seeing the pride on everyone’s faces when it’s time to pick them. We can’t wait to see and taste all the other fruits and vegetables we’ve planted this year. 🌱🍓💚
