💚💙 Today marks the start of Community Transport Week 2026 (12–16 October), and here at Lagan Valley Rural Transport, we’re proud to celebrate the difference community transport makes every single day.
For many people across our communities, community transport is about so much more than getting from A to B. It’s about attending medical appointments, visiting family and friends, getting to the shops, taking part in community activities and, most importantly, maintaining independence and staying connected.

💚 Every connection counts.
💙 Every person deserves the opportunity to stay connected to their community.
This year’s theme, “Driving Communities Forward,” reflects exactly what we strive to do at LVRT — helping people access opportunities, reducing isolation and strengthening the communities we serve.
A special thank you to our dedicated staff, drivers, volunteers, community partners, funders, elected representatives and, of course, our members and passengers. Your continued support helps keep our communities moving.
We’re also delighted to see Lisburn Civic Centre illuminated in blue and green to help recognise and celebrate Community Transport Week.
Throughout the week, we’ll be highlighting the people, partnerships and journeys that make community transport such an important part of community life.
