Morning all!
Ever fancied getting a bit more involved in what’s happening in Linthwaite and Cowlersley, meeting new people, sharing ideas or developing some new skills along the way?
Our Pride in Linthwaite AGM is Thursday 17th, at 7:30pm at Broad Oak Cricket Club — in the bar area, not the committee room.
As well as finding out more about everything PIL gets involved with, this is a great opportunity to come along, meet some of the people behind the scenes and see where you might be able to get involved during the 2026–27 year.
We’re looking for a few fresh faces, new ideas and different skills to join us. You don’t need to have previous committee experience — just an interest in making a positive difference locally. There are plenty of opportunities to get involved, whether that’s helping with projects and events, supporting our community activities, bringing your own skills to the group, or simply learning something new and building confidence along the way.
It’s also a great way to meet new people, build your local network and play a part in making things happen in our village.
Even if joining the committee isn’t for you, please come along to the AGM if you can. It would be great to see people there and give some recognition to all those who give their time behind the scenes to make PIL activities possible.
And, of course, we’ll be giving a big thank you to Nicola Booth for her three years as Chair and everything she’s done for the group.
