Last Thursday the Guides had a kayaking taster session!
All of the Guides learnt to control their kayak, play some games and some of them were brave enough to try capsizing.

This Monday the Guides had a self-care evening to help with the start of exams!
They played games outside, painted each others nails, ate some sweets and watched the Lorax after trying some mindful colouring.
We also had plenty of blankets and teddies to keep everything cozy (which the Leaders enjoyed just as much as the Guides).

Do you know someone aged 10-14 who needs a place to unwind after school? We have limited places available!

This week the Guides had a Bring A Friend Night and tried some Blitz cooking to finish their Guiding History badges.
Everyone tried using a fire strike to light a small piece of cotton wool, and tried making dampers and other foods.

Although most the girls weren't a fan of the dampers, everyone enjoyed the smores they made afterwards!

This week the Guides started their Guiding History badge by trying the Agility badge from the 1960s!
They spent the evening in the sun and practiced skipping, leap frogs, throwing and catching and then attempted a few tests from the Second Class Guides test.

Know someone aged 10-14 interested in outdoor adventures and fun? We have a couple of spaces left!

On Monday the Guides completed a Unit Meeting Activity about juggling taking care of pets at the same time as earning money!
Each Guide adopted a teddy for the night and had to care for it while competing to make the longest paperchain.

Once their paper chains were done they finished their Entertainer badge by putting on performances with their teddies - a day at school and a wedding!
