Happy St George’s Day from Lincolnshire Scouts 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿

Why do we celebrate St George’s Day?
St George is not only the patron saint of England, but also the patron saint of Scouts around the world. Chosen by Robert Baden-Powell as a role model for Scouting, St George represents the qualities every Scout strives for, courage, determination, and helping others.

His story reminds us to face challenges with confidence and to do our best, even when things seem difficult. Each year on St George’s Day, Scouts come together to reflect on their Promise and Scout Law, and to celebrate the values that unite our movement.

Celebrations across Lincolnshire
Last weekend, Lincoln Scouts proudly kicked things off with a fantastic parade, bringing young people, volunteers, and the community together to mark the occasion.

Across the district, more events and parades will be taking place this weekend, giving even more Scouts the opportunity to come together, celebrate, and show their Scout spirit.

St. George's Day 2026! Sunday was a first for many of the band members, and they all did absolutely amazingly! Now time to prepare for Boston St. George's parade on sunday.

We are pleased to finally be able to announce a major change to lincoln Scout and Guide Band! We have made the difficult decision to hang up our berets as your marching band and make a shift to become.... The Lincoln Scout And Guide Jazz Ensemble!

We feel that our skills are a better fit for this Genre. So, instead of seeing us at St. Georges day this year, you can see us playing in the Jolly Brewer afterwards!

We hope you appreciate our new lease of life as Lincoln Scout and Guide Jazz Ensemble! And we hope you have a great April 1st!

For our last session of the year, we left our instruments at home and had a Christmas party! All the members have worked so hard this year, and so they enjoyed some well deserved festive fun! We can't wait to see you all back next year! Happy Christmas All!

We are so proud of two of our members, snare drummer Jack and flautist Dottie, who have been accepted to represent at the 26th World Scout Jamboree in Poland 🇵🇱! The two explorers will join the and 48 heading to Poland in the summer of 2027. We are so excited to have two of our members heading off on this adventure of a lifetime, and we look forward to hearing all their exciting stories when they get back!

Thank you so much to everyone who came to our concert last night. It was lovely to see so many people there and hear all the lovely comments. We feel so thankful that we have so many people supporting our young musicians. Last night we managed to raise an amazing £202.50!
