Judging is under way for the 10th Lincolnshire Care Awards โ€“ and your business or organisation could get involved!

The awards are a great opportunity to promote your business and support the social care sector at the same time.

The theme of the event is โ€˜Pioneering leadership driving meaningful change in social care nursingโ€™.

The conference takes place at Windmill Farm in Lincoln on Thursday 12th November between 9.30am and 4pm and will feature:

Judging for the 10th Anniversary Lincolnshire Care Awards is well under way, and weโ€™re busy planning for the awards ceremony on 22nd April 2027.

The awards are a great opportunity to promote your business and support the social care sector at the same time.

Thanks to everyone who submitted nominations for the 10th Lincolnshire Care Awards. We received over 380 nominations across 13 categories!

Everyone who was nominated will receive a certificate of congratulations.

Shortlisting will take place from 8th October until 13th October, and all those shortlisted will be invited through to the next stage.

Nominees in five categories will be invited to a celebratory tea and activity panel in November before moving forward to the formal interviews. Nominees in the other categories will be invited to a judging panel at various locations across Lincolnshire in November.

The Lincolnshire Care Association welcomes the Prime Ministerโ€™s continued commitment to social care, which he confirmed this weekend in an interview with the BBC.

Andy Burnham said he wants to offer free access to social care services to everyone in England and promised to put his plans before voters at the next General Election.

When it comes to our care, is it better that we share the collective risk as a society, as we do with the NHS, or should we all be making our own financial plans for our future care? This is an important and complicated conversation. While itโ€™s disappointing that we will not have any funding reform until after the next General Election, the announcement hopefully means that we can have a conversation about how this could be designed to be fair to all.

What we must do in the meantime is get on with fixing the problems in the system that will make things better for everyone now while we have the discussion about how care is going to be paid for in the future. The Prime Ministerโ€™s announcement gives us the space to address with government the essential reforms to the care workforce and the way in which we can support the NHS prevention agenda.

Great news: weโ€™re re-opening nominations for the 10th Lincolnshire Care Awards for one week only!

A big thank you to everyone who has submitted nominations so far. Weโ€™ve now decided to give providers and members of the public a little extra time to submit their nominations.

Nominations will reopen for one week only between Monday 21st and Friday 25th September 2026.

Don't miss this final opportunity to recognise the outstanding individuals and teams making a difference in care.
