Lichfield Lions Club

The beauty of belonging to a Lions Club, anywhere, is that we discourage talk about religion or race. So, if a person is found to be in need, the only question is “How do we help them?”

There are close to 1.5 million members worldwide. If you want to find out what You can do to help those in need, come to one of our meetings. If you then feel that being a member of a Lions Club is for you, you will soon find that close to 1.5 million others will welcome you.

Lichfield Lions are committed to helping anyone with a sight problem, especially little children. When a child is born with a sight defect, it doesn’t realise that not everyone sees the way he does. We have a special camera that, when focussed on a child’s eyes, can tell in just seconds whether there is a potential problem. The camera is 92% accurate. We have contacted every school in Lichfield and surrounds to use the camera on starter year pupils. So far none have accepted the offer, but we are hopeful that they soon will.

Last night, Lichfield Lions Club was introduced to the amazing work carried out by the likes of Jason & Lewis of the Lichfield Community Football and Sports. This is a project that deserves all available support. If the opportunity arises where you can help or just support in any way, please do.
