🌟 WE’RE LOOKING FOR OUR NEXT CHAIR OF TRUSTEES 🌟
Elaine’s Toy & Gift Appeal | Lichfield
For the past eight years, our incredible community of supporters, businesses, schools and volunteers have helped us bring joy and support to children and families experiencing disadvantage — providing around £450,000 worth of toys and gifts over the years. 🎁❤️
But we believe our story shouldn’t end at Christmas.
Hardship doesn’t only happen at Christmas.
We’re now looking towards an exciting new chapter: developing Elaine’s Toy & Gift Appeal into a sustainable, year-round charity and community hub for Lichfield, supporting children and families when they need us most.
And we’re looking for an inspirational Chair of Trustees to help us make that ambition a reality.
🌱 THE OPPORTUNITY
Working alongside our established and passionate Trustee team, our founder Elaine and our wider community, you will help us:
✨ Develop a clear and ambitious strategy for our future
🤝 Build stronger partnerships with businesses, schools and community organisations
💷 Develop sustainable fundraising and income opportunities
📈 Grow our reach, impact and profile
🏡 Help develop our vision for a year-round community hub
🛡️ Strengthen governance, safeguarding and organisational resilience
❤️ Keep our heart, values and beneficiaries at the centre of everything we do
👤 WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR?
We’re looking for someone who is:
• An experienced charity, voluntary sector or community leader
• Strategic and able to turn ambition into action
• Confident providing leadership and constructive challenge
• A strong relationship and partnership builder
• Comfortable engaging with businesses, senior stakeholders and community leaders
• Knowledgeable about charity governance, trustee responsibilities and safeguarding
• Passionate about making a genuine difference to children, young people and families
• Warm, approachable, collaborative and community-minded
• Self-driven, proactive and excited by creating something for the future
Local knowledge and connections across Lichfield and Staffordshire would be highly desirable.
❤️ WHY JOIN US?
This isn’t simply an opportunity to chair meetings.
It’s an opportunity to help shape the next chapter of an organisation that already has an incredible community behind it.
We’re not looking for someone simply to maintain what already exists.
We’re looking for someone who can help us build what comes next.
Someone who can open doors, bring people together, challenge us positively, help us make great strategic decisions and help transform a hugely successful Christmas appeal into a sustainable, year-round charity with even greater impact.
We have the passion.
We have the community.
We have the ambition.
Now we’re looking for the right person to help us build the future. 🌟
