Some ladies in our group visited the Newhaven lifeboat this week. It was such an interesting visit and we have to thank the members of the crew for their time. We were allowed on the Severn class lifeboat which was thrilling - obviously we stayed moored in the harbour! One of our ladies has a nephew who is a lifeboatman at Newhaven which added to the insight we gained to the amazing lifesaving work they do.
