Actively finding ways to shape local green habits through recycling, reuse & repair. Now! was established in Lewes in East Sussex in 1995. Throughout our history we have built a strong foundation as a non-profit social enterprise. Our drive and mission is to build prosperous and sustainable futures for people and planet. We're committed to maximising our social, economic and environmental impact.
We achieve this by increasing public accessibility to quality household essentials, greener waste management techniques and investment in local community projects. We want to lead social change and are driven to improve the quality of life for people in our local communities. We truly care about the environment and consciously take action in ways to shape local green habits through recycling, reuse and repair. Our mission began back in 1995 as a volunteer-run milk float peddling the streets of Lewes collected and redistributed unwanted furniture and electrical household items to local residents most in need. Shortly after, Furniture Now! was formed as an independent non-profit. Furniture Now! is Now!’s oldest and most recognised service. consists of retail stores that the general public are able to visit.
