The Friends of Priory is a charity (1085742) whose aim is to support the school through fundraising, liaising with the community.

Friends of Priory School is a charity; it is steered by an enthusiastic committee of parents, teachers and members of the Priory community who wish to help the school by:
•planning social events for Priory parents and students.
•fundraising on behalf of the school.
•raising the profile of Priory and encouraging community links with other organisations
•providing refreshments at events attended by all members of the school community

Enjoy festive fayre, a fabulous raffle and gift shopping at our Christmas Bazaar next Tuesday. Entry is free and all funds raised go to Priory School. We have a couple of spaces for stalls left if you'd like to join us – only £15.

Welcome to a new school year – hopefully everyone is settling in to their routines. We're looking for more parents/carers to help us raise money to make the children's experience at Priory even better, so if you can help, please come along to our AGM on 23rd September or email Lucy on [email protected]. It's not a big commitment, but volunteering is really rewarding and does make a massive difference.

• THIS FRIDAY! • The weather forecast is looking good, so head for the school field to celebrate (nearly) the end of term with drinks and tunes, plus treat yourself to dinner from local favourites Kabak, serving up delicious Middle Eastern dishes. Entry free – parents/carers and children welcome. All proceeds go towards funding school projects and equipment.

Just over a week until the Harvey's Brewery tour raising money for Friends of Priory School on Wednesday 2nd July at 6.30pm. Explore the historic building and learn about the brewing process, then enjoy a generous beer tasting. Tickets £15: https://go.rallyup.com/harveystour limited to 30 people.

We're a charity, run entirely by parent volunteers, supporting the school through fundraising. We've recently provided a new AV system for the chapel, cameras for Art GCSE students and first aid equipment and training for staff and students. We'd love more parents to get involved – you might not be able to attend meetings or want to serve refreshments, but perhaps you have other skills you could share? Or do you run or work for a restaurant/street food truck that could offer food at our events? Or would your business like to sponsor a display board or consider donating a raffle prize? Or could you set up a regular donation with Committed to Giving? If you think you can help at all, please email [email protected].

Thank you to everyone who came along to the talk by V&A curator Dr Jenny Gaschke who took us through a series of paintings and drawings of East Sussex, and particularly Lewes, held in the V&A collections. It was a fascinating and enjoyable evening and the combination of ticket sales and refreshments raised over £300. Many thanks to Dr Gaschke for giving her time.
