Our Happy Mondays group got creative this week and made their very own masks. There was glitter, feathers, bold colours and some serious concentration, and no two masks are the same!

They're just in time for our Spooky Sunday Lunch this Sunday, so watch this space to see them in action! 🎃👻

💜 Happy Mondays are FREE creative workshops for over-50s, every Monday at 2.45pm. No experience needed, just bring your imagination! Beginners are always welcome, and you'll leave with something you made yourself (and probably a few new friends too)!!!

Last week we celebrated one of our favourite people the Taskforce way: a card from the members, balloons, a delicious cake, and the loudest chorus of Happy Birthday you've ever heard!

Anne is lovely, lively and one of the kindest people you could meet. She always has a smile and a warm word for everyone, and she loves a good party. So of course we had to make some noise for her!

Anne, thank you for the joy and energy you bring to every session. We're so lucky to have you in our Taskforce family. 💜

Here's to a wonderful year ahead, full of laughter, dancing and plenty more celebrations!

Gorton, we are coming to you!

This October, Taskforce is bringing two brand new FREE sessions for over-50s to Gorton Hub, and we can’t wait to meet you! 🎉

Chair Dance Exercise with the fabulous Tracing Steps Theatre & Dance Company ! Feel-good music, gentle moves you can do from your seat, and a cuppa and a catch-up afterwards.

Mindfulness with our lovely Lisa. Slow down, breathe and leave feeling calmer and lighter (chair based).

No experience needed, just bring yourself (and a friend!).

This week, we welcomed Carbon Co-op Carbon Coop to speak with our members about energy bills, the challenges they face at home, and the information and support that would be most useful to them.

Carbon Co-op is a Manchester-based energy co-operative that works with communities to make homes warmer, more energy-efficient and more affordable to heat.

The visit was a great opportunity to listen to our members, understand their needs and help Carbon Co-op shape future workshops that are relevant, practical and genuinely useful to older people.

A big thank you to Carbon Co-op for taking the time to listen to our members and work with us to understand what matters to them!

Celebrating our October birthday boys! 🥳💙

We have had the pleasure of celebrating two very special members of our Men’s Group, Jamil and Patrick! 🎈❤️
Jamil, with his kind heart, supportive nature and willingness to help others, and Patrick, who brings his own warmth and special presence to the group, are both such lovely people to have around!!

It’s the people who make our Men’s Group what it is, and we’re so lucky to share these moments, conversations, laughter and friendships together.
