Glass Lantern & Candle Making Workshop ✨🕯️

What a lovely and relaxing afternoon we had! 💛 Everyone got creative, enjoyed some delicious treats and, most importantly, had time to chat and connect.

It was especially lovely to see members from our different activities meeting new people and having a chance to sit, talk and enjoy each other’s company.

No pressure to be perfect ... just creativity, friendship, laughter and a little time for yourself. ✨💕

The truth? NICE — the official NHS body — recommends mindfulness BEFORE antidepressants for depression. 🌿

Taskforce (Charity 1206639) runs completely FREE mindfulness sessions for the over 50s.

It's a nice opportunity to get a chance to talk to other members that attend different activities throughout the week. Plus the food is just fantastic. Everyone loves Pauls cooking! 🤭😊🎉

Of course we got on the kinda chic trend😌

Turns out it’s kinda chic to try something new, kinda chic to let someone else cook your Sunday roast; kind of chic to dance sitting down and still have the best moves in the room. Kinda chic to video call the grandkids without panicking. Kinda chic to pick up a trombone for the first time, dress up for Halloween with no kids to blame it on, let someone else do the planning for once, and still not know what you’re making until it’s finished.

Moreover, it’s kinda of chic join the Taskforce!

What an afternoon it was! Sunshine, smiles, and a whole lot of community spirit at our Belvoir Green Community Fun Day 🌸

Swipe through to see it all: badge-making, a bike workshop, cloth painting, kids getting creative with our graffiti artist on the planters and shed, trishaw rides with the lovely Tom from Chorlton Bikes 🚲, recycling info stalls and our green credentials game, poster-making for a cleaner Levenshulme, the Swap Shop giving pre-loved treasures a new home, plus food, planting, arts, crafts and games galore 🥟🌱

Lovely to see when the community comes together.
