Our Sip & Scribble workshop, led by Lucy Edminston, was a wonderful introduction to creative writing and poetry.

Lucy guided us through the writing process and helped us see that poetry is so much more than rhyming words—it's about expressing thoughts, emotions, memories, and experiences in a unique way. One participant beautifully described poetry as "the language of feelings."

Throughout the session, participants explored their creativity, discovered new ways of writing, and shared outstanding pieces.

A huge thank you to Lucy for encouraging us to step outside our comfort zones and discover the poet within💜

What a brilliant day! 💚

These photos capture just a small part of what made Levenshulme Square Fest so special: neighbours meeting neighbours, local organisations coming together, live music, dancing,and a real sense of community throughout the day.

Join us every Friday from 1:00–3:00 PM at Arcadia.

Mark and our friendly volunteers will be at the table near the library entrance, ready to help.

No question is too small, and all types of digital support are welcome.

What an incredible day at our watercolour painting workshop! Huge thanks to Zainab for volunteering to facilitate.
Some of our members were hesitant at first, thinking they’d “never painted before,” but they gave it a go, and the results were amazing! 🌟😊A few shared that they’ve proudly displayed their art at home, from living rooms to walls, and even sent us pictures of their creations in their spaces.
It’s such a beautiful reminder that trying new things, even later in life, brings joy, pride, and a sense of accomplishment. Don’t let fear hold you back, creativity has no age limit! 💛

| Thank you Rachel, Amelia and Sadie!

Rachel, Amelia and Sadie volunteer at our Sunday Lunches through Levenshulme Good Neighbours. They are actually befrienders for , and when they heard about the Sunday lunches, they gladly wanted to come and support.

Some volunteers walk in, and you just know. Amelia joined us for the very first time at our Easter Sunday Lunch back in March 2025, and the moment she put those bunny ears on, I knew she was going to be brilliant. Rachel and Sadie joined later in the year with a big smile and positive energy and have been just as wonderful ever since.

They show up, roll up their sleeves and make it happen: setting up, serving food, washing up and everything in between. They bring a warmth to the table that our members feel every single time

Thank you for every Sunday you have given us. You are so appreciated 👏 🌟
