As alot of you are aware , I will be taking part in the London TCS London Marathon on the 26th April raising funds In memory of my daughter Maddie for The Bodie Hodges Foundation… This Charity supports families bereaved of a child and is amazing in what they do , they provide 1-1 counselling for parents and siblings plus a dads group “chips and Chats” a mums group “Creative Grief” and sibling groups “The Together Project”
On Monday 30th March they took a group of heartbroken families to Edale YHA activity centre in the Peak district … this allowed all the siblings to feel normal to be among others that are grieving , plus they provided activities including
Grate stacking, Archery , Abseiling, orienting , treasure hunts, etc
the kids all loved it and the parents even had a go !!!
every penny that is raised goes towards helping so many people through the most heartbreaking time that no one should ever go through

43 days to go !!! I will be taking part in The London Marathon , In memory of my daughter Maddie 💔
Im not going to break any records or get any amazing PB , But I will finish it!!
Im training as best as I can at 52 years old with a broken heart💔 and overwhelming grief and a body that isn’t athletic
and I’m trying every single day to make my daughter and family proud !

We are a team made up of Maddies parents, sisters, cousins, and uncle, none of us are athletic so there will be no PBs 😊but there will be a finish line …
