We are based in the market town of Loughborough, in the east midlands of England. More here: https://transitionnetwork.org/about/ Transition Loughborough aims to help make the town more sustainable and resilient in the face of climate change and rising fuel costs. We're an open organisation made up of volunteers who run a number of projects themed around Energy, Food & Gardens, Transport, Community Hearts & Minds and Skill Sharing. We’re part of a global movement and whilst the Transition movement shares common basic goals, the actual priorities and means to achieve them are driven purely by the desires of the local population. Join in with our events such as Potato Day, seed swaps, repair cafes or apple pressing. We have a community allotment where folk meet and work on Wednesday evenings. Or come to the pay-as-you-can ‘Utilise Cafe’ at Fearon Hall, a social enterprise partnership diverting edible food that would otherwise head from the supermarkets to landfill, into delicious meals.
