🥫 COMMUNITY SUPPORT IN ACTION

A huge thank you to Morro Partnerships Leicester for supporting MLSS Leicester with donations collected by their team for National Food Bank Day. 🧡

From volunteering alongside us at our community feeds to collecting essential food donations at their Leicester head office, their continued support helps us reach and support more people across our community.

Partnerships like this show what can happen when local businesses and communities come together with a shared purpose.

🚶🏽‍♀️🚶🏽‍♂️ THE ROUTE IS SET – CHARITY WALK LEICESTER 2026! 📍

On Saturday 3rd October 2026, we’ll be coming together and walking through Leicester in support of the Lord Mayor of Leicester’s chosen charities:

🧡 Midland Langar Seva Society (MLSS)
💙 Leicester Hospitals Charity

Our walk will begin at Gurdwara Sahib Hamilton, where everyone taking part can join us from 9am for tea and snacks before we get ready to set off together. ☕️

📍 THE ROUTE

We’ll start from Gurdwara Sahib Hamilton and make our way through:

➡️ Hamilton Way
➡️ Thurmaston Lane
➡️ Troon Way
➡️ Melton Road
➡️ Belgrave Road
➡️ Belgrave Gate
➡️ Leicester Clock Tower
➡️ Gallowtree Gate
➡️ Horsefair Street

On Saturday 3rd October 2026, Leicester will come together for the Lord Mayor of Leicester’s Charity Walk, raising funds for the Lord Mayor’s two chosen charities:

🧡 Midland Langar Seva Society (MLSS)
💙 Leicester Hospitals Charity

We would love to see individuals, families, schools, colleges, sports clubs, community groups, organisations and businesses joining us.

Whether you walk as an individual, as a family or as part of a team, this is an opportunity to come together, enjoy the day and help make a real difference across our city.

We would love participants, families, schools, clubs, community groups and businesses to use the walk as an opportunity to raise even more for these two fantastic charities.

From Kitchen to Community 🍝🧡

Our dedicated Leicester volunteers in action at Gurdwara Shri Guru Harkrishan Sahib Ji, Oadby, preparing fresh pasta ready to be served hot at our Sunday feed.

A huge thank you to the Gurdwara for their continued support and for generously allowing us to use their kitchen facilities to prepare Langar for our community. 🙏🏽

With the support of the Gurdwara, alongside our many generous donors and dedicated volunteers, we can continue turning ingredients into freshly prepared hot meals for those who need them most.

From kitchen to community — this is Seva in action. 🧡

🧡 MEET SIMON | 4 YEARS OF SEVA

If you’ve joined us at one of our Sunday feeds, there’s a good chance you’ve seen Simon Singh helping to keep everything moving.

Simon is one of our Sunday coordinators and has been part of the MLSS Leicester journey for the past four years, giving his time to help make sure our feeds run smoothly and that we can continue supporting those who need us.

From coordinating on the day to getting stuck in wherever he’s needed, Simon is one of the people working behind the scenes to make Sunday Seva happen week after week.

Four years of showing up. Four years of giving back. Four years of Serving Humanity. 🧡
