Deaf Centre Youth Group: DCYG Girls Project – Live at The Glasshouse

This Easter, the Glasshouse is proud to welcome an inspiring debut performance from the Society of the St. Vincent de Paul and the Newcastle Deaf Centre (NDC): the DCYG Girls!—a powerful creative collaboration bringing together Deaf and Hearing young women through music, BSL, storytelling, and shared imagination.
Developed under the leadership of the NDC Centre Manager, Dr. Megan Nottingham, and Activity Coordinator, Kat Sevilla (also a rising musician known as Kiyett, whose work has featured on BBC Young Talent Radio and Koast Radio), the DCYG Girls! project showcases the extraordinary artistic voices of young women who have written, produced, and performed a collection of original music that speaks to courage, identity, and the joy of creative expression.

Audiences will experience the beautifully atmospheric “10ft Down” song performed live by the DCYG Girls, featuring Kiyett’s own production pieces.
Join us for this BSL interpreted performance and be part of an unforgettable moment honouring the achievements of these remarkable young artists. More than a concert, the evening will be a celebration of youth talent, collaboration, and deaf culture. Don’t miss it!
