We have successfully completed our 4th Walk of Hope at Elvaston Castle in Derby. Thank you to everyone who has donated so far through Just giving and Cash. We have raised so far £380, that is almost 15% of a day's research for Brain Tumour Research.

There are more children and adults under the age of 40 suffering from a Brain Tumour compared to any other cancer but yet only 1% of cancer research funding is dedicated to Brain Tumours. My mum was diagnosed with a Grade 4 glioblastoma brain Tumour in June 2022 and only given 12 to 18 months to live. She has outlived the life expectancy and is still living 3 years on.

There is still time to donate; please follow the link to my just giving page: https://www.justgiving.com/page/beth-davies-9?utm_medium=FA&utm_source=CL

Last February, we were invited to the London institute of cancer research to see the research labs and the research that they are doing for childhood cancers. We were able to display a tile on the wall of hope due to our fundraising efforts. I had a photo sent through email this week where another tile was placed on the wall of hope for us 🩷💛

In less than a week, we will be taking part in the walk for Hope around Chatsworth House.

My mum was diagnosed with a Grade 4 incurable grade 4 Glioblastoma braintumour just over 2 years ago. She is doing well and outlived her life expectancy, but it has left her with life changing health problems that she will have to live with for the rest of her life.

Only 1% of cancer research funding goes towards Brain Tumours on the NHS, and more children and adults under the age of 40 lose their life from a brain tumour other than any other cancer. Anyone living with a brain tumour is unlikely to live longer than 5 years.

We are close to reaching the £14,000 (not including gift aid) and we are trying to reach £20,000. Please donate what you can to an underfunded charity. https://www.justgiving.com/page/beth-davies-1717871331981?utm_source=IG
