📢🌿🎨 Climate Cafe is back TOMORROW Saturday 5th September 10-3pm!

🌎 The theme of September’s Climate Cafe is Re-imagine!

Spotlight on 👚 “Dress for The Future: A 2030 Wardrobe”

Participatory collage workshop inviting people to imagine a future where new clothing is no longer manufactured, and to design outfits from materials that already have a history, exploring ideas of reuse, repair, creativity, consumption and what a fairer relationship with clothing might look like.”

“What incredible things might we make if we stopped treating things as disposable?”

Imagine it is 2030 and the manufacture of new clothing has stopped. Our relationship with fashion has changed: clothes are repaired, adapted, shared, inherited and made from materials that already exist.

In this drop-in collage workshop, participants will be invited to design an outfit for themselves or a fictitious character from 2030 using repurposed and reclaimed materials such as old magazines, fabric scraps, packaging, maps, newspapers and discarded clothing.

Climate Cafe activities will include;
👚📚 🪀 Clothes, toys and book swap (we kindly ask for no more clothes and books donations this month, we are accepting good quality TOYS only)
🪻 ReImagine 2030: The Last Flowers Herbarium
