FROM THE STREETS TO A PROFESSIONAL STADIUM ⚽️🏟️
When Ibrahim first came to Din Academy, he had never played grassroots or organised football.
Our coaches saw blistering pace, natural finishing ability and something even more important - a respectful, coachable young man willing to work.
Alongside his weekly development at Din Academy, Ibrahim signed for our partner club Chapeltown Juniors. The goals followed, he stepped up into their top team for his age group and continued to perform.
Then came another opportunity through the CDA pathway - Rotherham United U13s vs Yorkshire Ammers U13s at the New York Stadium.
From no organised football to stepping onto the pitch inside a professional stadium 🏟️
His moment nearly came too - beating the offside trap and racing towards goal before an outstanding last-ditch tackle stopped him.
As the level rises, the space gets smaller, the time gets shorter and the pressure gets greater.
You learn. You adapt. You work again.
And one thing remains important - Din Academy is still home 💙
Some players train with Din Academy only. Others also represent Chapeltown Juniors or Yorkshire Ammers. The environments work together to help our young people train, compete, grow and access further opportunities.
Progress doesn’t mean forgetting your roots. Wherever the journey takes our players, our doors remain open.
Opportunity is there. Take it. Work for it. Keep growing.
Developing Good People and Good Footballers.
Discipline. Intensity. No Excuses.
Standards to make you stand out.
Keep going, Ibby 📈⚽️
