We are back! Following a week’s break due to the Breeze event, we’ll be serving up our freshly cooked breakfasts tomorrow morning 🥓

Come and join us from 9:30am onwards for a full English breakfast. We’ve lots of other options including sandwiches, omelettes and kids breakfast just £1!

🏉🌟 SUMMER OF SPORT - FREE RUGBY ON THURSDAY 🌟🏉

Don’t miss THIS WEEK… come down to Swinnow Community Centre from 11am-12pm on Thursday, where we will see our first visit from Coach Freya!

Freya started playing rugby at 11 years old as part of Stanningley Rugby Club’s very first girls youth team. Freya stayed at Stanningley until 16, where she was scouted by Huddersfield Giants to play in the U19’s, alongside playing in Stanningley’s Ladies squad. After demonstrating her value for a solid year, Freya was pulled into Huddersfield’s first team in the Super League where she played for 2 years. Now Freya has chosen to come back to her roots at Stanningley where she plays, and coaches the ‘Tots’ since 2022, while completing a degree in Paramedic Science… what incredible experience that she will be sharing with Swinnow!

🐸 Sports 4 Tots (10-11am)
For ages 0-5: Get ready for a Jungle Adventure that the whole family can join! Prepare yourselves to leap like frogs, tight rope over crocodile-infested swamps, and be cheeky monkeys throwing bananas!

🏕️ Den Building (11am-12pm)
For ages 5-11: Come and get creative as we work together to design and build amazing outdoor dens using a variety of materials. Whether you're creating a secret hideaway, a castle or a camp, it's a great opportunity to use imagination, problem-solving skills and teamwork.

💪 Bootcamp (12-1pm)
For ages 8-18: A fun, energetic exercise session packed with games, challenges and fitness activities. Suitable for all abilities – come along, get moving and challenge yourself in a supportive environment.

Ready to get moving, challenge yourself and have some fun? Then it's time for Bootcamp! Led by Jamie from West Leeds Fitter Bodies, these sessions are a fun and energetic way for young people to get active, try new challenges and discover just how much they can do!💪✨

🏃‍♀️ What is Bootcamp?
Forget boring workouts! Jamie’s sessions are packed with engaging activities designed to get young people: running, moving, racing, challenging themselves, working together and having fun! From team challenges and races, to fitness games and movement activities, every session is designed to keep everyone involved, active and smiling!

🤝 Why do we do it?
Being active isn't just about sport or fitness — it's about helping young people develop: strength & fitness, coordination, resilience, teamwork, communication, self-esteem and a positive attitude towards being active. Most importantly, we want young people to discover that exercise can be FUN! 🎉

🌟SUMMER OF SPORT - DEN BUILDING🌟

Calling all little adventurers, builders and creative minds to join our brilliant volunteer Boe for a fun, hands-on Den Building session. Let your imaginations run wild! 👷‍♀️🧑‍🔧🎨

🪵 What is Den Building?
Children work together to design, build and decorate their own dens using a whole range of materials and equipment, including: cardboard boxes, bed sheets, planks of wood, sticks, tarpaulin, crates, decorating materials, signs and flags.

💚 Why do we do it?
Den building is so much more than simply making a shelter. It gives children the opportunity to develop: problem-solving skills, teamwork, creativity, physical skills, communication confidence and independence.

There are no right or wrong designs — your den can be a castle, a campsite, a secret hideout, a spaceship, a jungle base… 🚀🏰🌴
