🌳 Sometimes, a change of place can make a world of difference.

For some of the children who visit our home, Lineham Farm, stepping onto our 120 acres of countryside can mean stepping into a world of new possibilities.

Away from the pressures of everyday life, children can explore the outdoors, try something new, build friendships and discover what they’re capable of, often for the very first time.

From riding a bike and climbing to meeting our animals, splashing through streams or simply having space to play, these experiences can help build confidence, resilience and happy memories that last long after their visit.

Every child deserves the chance to feel safe, experience adventure and enjoy childhood as it should be. 💚

Your support helps make these experiences possible for children across Leeds who need them most.

💚 Support Leeds Children’s Charity today and help more children discover what they’re capable of.

Whether you donate, fundraise, volunteer or become a regular supporter, your support can help create brighter futures, one child and one experience at a time.

⭐ Supporter Spotlight: Danny C Amc & Marc ⭐

Some supporters go the extra mile. Danny and Marc go 26 miles. 💚

For the second year running, they’ve taken on The Great Leeds Walk, raising an incredible £2,400+ for Leeds Children’s Charity and helping children facing hardship experience safety, adventure and the chance to simply be children at Lineham Farm.

Danny first discovered us through a workplace raffle, and what started with one fundraiser has grown into two years of incredible support.

As Danny says:
“By doing this we’re hoping that other kids get the chance to be a kid for a few days.”
And that’s exactly what your support can help make possible. 💚

👏 A huge thank you to Danny and Marc for their determination, generosity and commitment to helping create brighter childhoods for children across Leeds.

⛰️ Another year. Another incredible challenge. Another amazing show of support.

After battling wind, rain and hail last year, the team thought they were ready for anything. Instead, they faced 30°C heat, relentless sunshine and one of the toughest walking conditions imaginable.

As Mark Briggs said:

"The heat was unrelenting and energy sapping. We had falls, sunburn, insect bites and exhaustion, but the Maples team battled on through the unforgiving elements."

Reaching the summit of Ingleborough was a huge achievement, but the proudest moment came afterwards.

"Knowing that we had raised such a huge amount to support Leeds Children's Charity was collectively the thing we were all most proud of."

Together, Team Maples Group has raised £4,000, helping more children across Leeds build confidence, experience adventure and enjoy childhood as it should be.

A huge thank you to everyone who took part, donated and supported the team along the way. Your continued commitment is helping create brighter futures for children across our city. 💚

If you'd like to help Team Maples reach their fundraising target, there's still time to donate: https://lnkd.in/eg5KXbAQ

🚲 Nine children learnt to ride a bike for the very first time!

That’s nine children discovering new confidence, overcoming fears and achieving something they never thought possible. 💚

Thanks to funding from Sport England's The Movement Fund and additional support from Leonard Curtis, we've been able to replace our ageing bike fleet with brand-new bikes.

For many of the children we support, riding a bike simply isn't an opportunity they've had before. These new bikes will help even more children experience that unforgettable feeling of independence, confidence and pride.

And the impact doesn't stop there...

We're delighted that our previous bikes will continue making a difference at one of our Partner Schools. By taking ownership of the bikes, the school can help pupils practise and develop their cycling skills long after their visit, ensuring even more children have the chance to learn this valuable life skill.

A huge thank you to Sport England and Leonard Curtis for helping more children across Leeds build confidence, embrace adventure and enjoy childhood as it should be.

💚 A small monthly gift can make a lifetime of difference.

Every week, children arrive at Lineham Farm ready to discover new adventures, build confidence and experience childhood as it should be.

But these moments don’t happen by chance—they happen because of people who choose to stand alongside them.

In this short video, Megan, our Community Fundraising & Events Manager, shares why becoming a Friend of the Future is one of the most powerful ways you can support children across Leeds.

Your monthly gift helps us plan ahead, welcome more children who need us most and continue providing residential breaks, outdoor learning and trusted support throughout the year.

Whether you give £5, £10 or £20 a month, you’ll be helping children discover what they’re capable of, one month at a time.

Your monthly gift, their brighter future.

💚 Join our growing community of Friends of the Future today and help create brighter futures for children across Leeds.
