A thank you to Leeds City Council, the Inner North Community Committee and its councillors for their continued support of Unity Day.
The Inner North Community Committee represents the Chapel Allerton, Headingley and Hyde Park, Little London and Woodhouse, and Moortown wards, with the aim of “bringing people together to make a difference for local people and their communities.”
The support we receive through the Inner North Community Committee makes a real difference to Unity Day. Funding contributes towards the essential infrastructure needed to put the event on and helps us provide a safe, welcoming environment for everyone using the park.
Councillors have supported this community event over many years, including since we worked to get Unity Day back up and running, and we are extremely grateful for that continued backing.
Another successful Unity Day is only possible because of the huge collective effort behind it. Thank you to our stalls team for all their hard work organising the market shown in this photo, and for the photo too, as well as our food court team, community stalls team, children’s area, music providers, sports area coordinators and everyone else who contributed their time and energy.
We will be giving special mentions to the many individuals, organisations and sponsors who supported Unity Day in separate posts, because there are far too many people to properly thank in one.
For now, our sincere thanks to Leeds City Council, the Inner North Community Committee and its councillors for continuing to invest in and support Unity Day and the communities that make it what it is.
