Applications are open for the Hyde Park Unity Day Market on 1st August 2026. As part of a community event that has been bringing people together for 30 years, we’re looking for local makers, artists, community groups and independent traders to join us for a day of music, culture and community.

Unity Day provides an opportunity to connect with thousands of visitors while supporting an event that continues to play an important role in the life of the local area.

Linking up with the mighty Soundmag, Anatta Sound are running a Selectors Choice Unity Day fundraiser at the Vinyl Whistle in June. There will be a variety of residents and guests running tunes on the soundsystem to raise funds for Unity Day itself!

Nice vibes guaranteed from early till late, and as always with Selectors Choice expect the djs to be playing whatever sounds nice whilst we keep the sound running sweet.

Free entry all night, but we'll have various ways to donate when you're there.

In Loving Memory of Pat Grace

Pat Grace left an indelible mark on Unity Day. As the original designer of the Unity Day Programme, his vision created a structure still used today. He also took and designed a kaleidoscope of photos and collages that truly brought Unity Day to life in print.

A gifted graphic designer and musician, Pat played guitar on our main stage, adding creativity and warmth to the event he helped shape.

In 2004, he received the Unity Day Community Recognition Award for his invaluable work behind the scenes, quietly forming the foundations of Unity Day's . He never sought recognition, remained humble, and carried a natural charisma that touched many.

A truly modest gentleman, without ego, his legacy lives on in Unity Day and in all who knew him.

Unity Leeds CIC (Hyde Park Unity Day & now the Unity Panto) is delighted to bring back our legendary community pantomime for another spectacular year!

Get ready for an epic festive adventure as Bill & Ted blast onto the stage for laughs, wild antics, chaotic time travel, and totally radical pantomime magic 🤘
Created entirely by volunteers, with children’s script ideas included, this is a joyful, inclusive, community-driven production.
