Thank you to those who came last Wednesday to our AGM.

We discussed some important updates and what will happen over the coming year.

For those who were unable to attend, you can red the minutes on our website, here:

Welcome to our 2026 Annual General Meeting. We’re coming to the end of our 9th year running our book club and associated events. While we’ve still got another year of book clubs planned, the main news we’ll be discussing today is myself and Kirsty, my Co-Chair, will be stepping down in May 202...

πŸ”† Weekend Read πŸ”†

I really enjoyed the TV series of 🌸 Cherry Blossoms After Winter 🌸 and couldn't wait to get hold of an English translated paper version of this Korean webcomic.

I inhaled the first three graphic novels (covering chapters 1 to 46) and have been patiently waiting for the fourth installment (covering chapters 47 to 65), which arrived this week! Yay!

Now I can't wait for the weekend so I can re-read the first three and then devour this one! I'm ready to dive back into the BL world of Seo Haebom and Jo Taesung 😍

Even Norbert was intrigued... See pic 3 to see his cute little bunny face!

Also just to note that the manhwa comes with a mature content warning πŸ”ž

Anyone else fallen in love with manhwa or manga characters? Regardless of what books you're into at the moment, will you be diving into a new read over the weekend?

Kirsty

The Palace of Eros by Caro De Robertis ( )

😍 Anyone who knows me knows how much I love de Robertis' incredible way with words and stories. Their latest book is no different.
It's fantastic, it's beautiful, it's sensual!
It remains true to the flow and trajectory of ancient Greek myths.

🏺 Psyche, a young girl in ancient Greece, is prized for her beauty. Through divine intervention, she is whisked away to a faraway palace, living with her female husband (whose body shifts across the sexes) whom she only sees at night.
But, as in every myth, the perfect life can not last forever, and when Aphrodite discovers the deception from her child, Eros, Psyche must pay the price of the couple's happiness.

🏹 I can't wait to find out what happens to Psyche and Eros, but I don't want this book to end!
