Talks : Tilo’s Talk on Western Provence
Date: Monday, 03 June 2024
Time: 7:30PM - 8:30PM
Link: https://tinyurl.com/5n94btev

The Provence is one of those places we only hear about in snippets, but it’s all a little vague because it’s just too varied to be placed under one subject line. We usually think about cities as diverse as Marseille, Arles, Orange or Avignon, or attractive images of lavender fields or the horses of the Camargue, but how are they all connected, really. Well, this talk will clear up some things for you!

Our next WI meeting is on Tuesday 4th June at Cookridge Village Hall when we welcome Ben Cooper, Head Gardener at East Riddlesden Hall who will tell us about his work at this beautiful National Trust property.

Suzanne Eglington will also be bringing and selling her Flamingo cards.

Our first meeting of the new committee was last week and they are very excited to start the planning for future meetings and activities. To start the ball rolling we will be looking to find out your views on what you’ve enjoyed in the past year and what you would like us to try and arrange for the coming year 2025-6.

We also want to let you have plenty of time for catching up with old and new friends so refreshments will be available from 7pm. Please bring your own cup.
We look forward to seeing you all on Tuesday.
