The Yorkshire Housing Community Independence team are part of the Yorkshire Housing family and are dedicated to providing an exceptional service to our customers whilst working hard to make a positive difference in their lives and the communities that they live in. Yorkshire Housing’s Community Independence Officers work internally with neighbourhoods teams and external organisations to support c

ommunity initiatives and projects to make a difference to the community our customers live in. The work they do can vary from creating community gardens to supporting new social ventures or providing training for customers to contribute towards developing their skills to build confidence and reduce isolation.
