At Cross Gates & District Good Neighbours' Scheme CIO Scheme, we’re here to help. With support from the Crisis Resilience Fund, we provide practical support, advice and a friendly face to our members and the wider community. 🤝

We can offer support with:

🥫 Food support – twice-weekly food pantries at The Newman Centre on Tuesday and Thursday mornings

💚 Wellbeing – weekly calls to check in and make sure you’re okay

💷 Budgeting – practical help and advice to manage everyday challenges

🏥 Information & health support – working with local organisations and health services to bring advice, information and health checks closer to you.

Sometimes, simply knowing someone is there to help can make all the difference. ❤️

**What a day! ❤️🎬**

Today, 42 of our members and our trustees came together for the premiere of our very own film, *Cross Gates Good Neighbours – Superstars!*

There wasn’t a dry eye in the house as we watched the film and celebrated the wonderful people who make our scheme what it is. It was a truly fantastic, emotional and memorable day, full of laughter, pride and happy tears!

A huge thank you to **Patrick and Susan**, who directed and produced the film, bringing our story to life so beautifully. We are also incredibly grateful to **Leeds Older People’s Forum** for funding the event and helping make this special occasion possible.

What better way to celebrate **International Day of Older People** than by recognising the amazing people in our community and celebrating everything they bring to our scheme?

Today was a reminder of just how special our Good Neighbours family is. We are so proud of every single one of you! ❤️

**And the exciting news is that our film will be available to watch from tomorrow on our page, YouTube channel and website!** We will also be sharing it with our groups and showing it at our AGM, so even more of our members and community can enjoy it.

We can’t wait for you all to see it! 🎬❤️

🎉 **What a busy and exciting day we have ahead of us!** 🎉

Today, we’re celebrating **International Day of Older People** with a day packed full of fun and special moments!

🚌 We’ll be taking a busload of our members to the Fest for Life festival at Pudsey Civic Hall, where they can enjoy the celebrations and soak up the atmosphere.

🍽️ Next, we’ll be heading to Murgatroyd’s, where another busload of members will join us to enjoy a lovely meal together – a perfect opportunity for good food, great company and plenty of laughter!

🎬 And back at our main hub, we’ll be rolling out the red carpet for the premiere of our very own film! We’re delighted to be welcoming those who took part, our wonderful trustees and the fantastic people who helped bring this special film to life.

A huge thank you to **Leeds Older People's Forum** for helping make today's celebrations possible.

What better way to mark International Day of Older People than by celebrating the people, friendships and community spirit that make our scheme so special?

🍂 AUTUMN FOOD PANTRY – THE NEWMAN CENTRE 🍂

This autumn, Cross Gates & District Good Neighbours CIO, in partnership with the Catholic Parish of St John Henry Newman, are providing a twice-weekly Food Pantry to support local people.

🛒 14 items plus bread & fresh milk
👤 One visit per week
📅 Tuesdays: 9am–11am
📅 Thursdays: 10am–12pm
📍 The Newman Centre, Station Road, Leeds LS15 7YV
💷 From 6 October, each visit will cost £4

Further support and signposting will also be available.
