Film Premiere!

As part of our International Day of Older People celebrations, we’re excited to share Chris & Chris’s “Journey Back to Joy”, a new short dance film on YouTube.

Made with filmmaker Pishdaad Modarassi, the film explores what dancing with Parkinson's means to the couple and how they find creativity, connection and strength through movement.

A special thank you to Izzy Brittain, who has supported and mentored our talented and ambitious choreographers throughout the development of this new work.

Thanks also to everyone who has supported Chris and Chris on their journey and helped bring this film to life.

We're delighted to share some highlights from our Creating, Dancing and Living with Parkinson's event, celebrating the remarkable stories of our talented members and the power of dance to connect, uplift and inspire.

The performances just keep coming.

Ascendance have been delivering a new dance session in partnership with Armley Helping Hands, Chai & Chat, and the "Not So Rusty" project.

Some members from the "Not So Rusty Group" will be performing along side some of our Ascendance dancers next week.

Come down on Thursday 1st October to Pudsey Civic Hall to watch - Everyone is welcome to come and dance with us.

It’s another brilliant opportunity for our community to share their work and represent the growing dance community.

We’re on stage at 11.20am.

Join us at Fest for Life on Thursday 1 October, 10:30 am to 2 pm at Pudsey Civic Hall!

Celebrate the creativity and talents of people aged 50+ with live performances, spoken word, dance, music, arts and crafts, plus a marketplace showcasing local opportunities, organisations and independent traders.

Wow. We are still on a high following our event on Friday: Creating, Dancing & Living with Parkinson's.

Thank you to every one of you who made the event such a magnificent occasion - a wonderful achievement, and a beautiful celebration of everything we have created together.
