Last week the kids made some Affirmation Boards! Liz guided through the group what affirmations are and the importance of saying these sentences to ourselves every morning to set our day up for success 🌞

Week 2 of our Jewellery Creative Enterprise Challenge with Broomfield SILC is here, and the ideas are flowing! 🧠

Today, our young people rolled up their sleeves and got down to designing their product prototypes. The business teams brainstormed brilliant concepts, thought carefully about who their target customers would be, and sketched out their very first designs. Even more inspiring? They spent time discussing the real-world social issues they want their products to represent and raise awareness of.

Here at The PIECES Project, we believe in the power of young person-led programmes where participants design their own products to market and sell. This hands-on approach gives young people true ownership of their work while developing their creativity, enterprise skills, and confidence.

Because sustainability is at the heart of our work, designing products with a social purpose helps us spark important conversations around responsible design and environmental awareness. It is incredible to watch them combine design thinking, coaching, and soft skills to build their ambition.

We can't wait for next week to see how these initial sketches evolve into real, market-ready prototypes! 🧩

At this weeks Wednesday youth session at CATCH, the young people and volunteers joined us on The Piece’s Project bus to create mini CATCH people! 👭

This is a loved and familiar activity for our members, who decorated and designed some lovely pieces, before moving onto some more general painting.

Our young people love being on the creative bus, and being inspired by the surrounding artwork. Their artistic skills develop each week, and the pride they take in their creations brings us so much joy! See you next week! 🎨

We are buzzing! 🐝 Today, Julie kicked off another exciting 6-week Jewellery Creative Enterprise Challenge with Broomfield SILC, and the energy was absolutely incredible!

After just one session, these talented young people are already working in their business teams, planning, and designing their own unique products. We can’t wait to see their designs come to life next week! Here is a little peek at some of the sketches the young people came up with last time around … we can’t wait to see what our new group will design !

We we are a not-for-profit social enterprise passionate about unlocking the potential of young people through creativity, enterprise, and STEM. Our Creative Enterprise Challenge is an immersive experience that teaches young people how to start their own product-based business. By designing their own products, they gain true ownership of their work!
