NOT EVERYONE WHO CORRECTS YOU WANTS TO SEE YOU GROW.
Correction can be an act of love. However, not everyone who points out your mistakes is interested in your improvement.
Some people will correct you privately because they genuinely want to see you do better. Others will embarrass you publicly, repeatedly remind you of your failures, and make sure you never forget where you fell short.
Hear this, One wants you to learn while the other may want you to remain defined by your mistakes.
The difference is not always in what they say, but in how they treat you and what their actions reveal over time.
Don't reject correction simply because it hurts. Sometimes, the truth we need most is the truth we least want to hear. Also don't accept every criticism as truth simply because it comes from someone you respect.
Examine the message. Consider the person's character. Ask God for wisdom to know what to receive and what to leave behind.
“Faithful are the wounds of a friend; but the kisses of an enemy are deceitful.”Proverbs 27:6 KJV
Be humble enough to accept correction and wise enough to discern the intention behind it.
