🎭 A Musical Spectacular 2026🎭

And just like that, the curtain falls on another show. The first under our new name, but an unforgettable production to add to our 103 year history!

It has been a phenomenal week of storytelling, bringing the music to life and showcasing the incredible talent our Society has to offer.

It was wonderful to have the youngsters on stage. They have been a joy to watch, growing in confidence with each rehearsal and never put a foot wrong.

There are too many people to thank individually, most of those not seen by our audiences, but the show simply could not go on without you.

If you’ve been sitting in our audience, or watching from afar, and would like to get involved in future productions, please send us a message. We would love to hear from you.

Finally, thank you to our hugely supportive audience. A standing ovation on our final performance was truly magical - and possibly a first in 103 years!

We will keep you posted on what’s to come next, but whatever it is, A Musical Spectacular will be hard to beat!

Our final two shows of the Musical Spectacular are on today at 2:30pm and 7:30pm.

We would like to acknowledge our wonderful Society band, who have given their time so generously, not only for this show, but over many years. We are very lucky to have them - thank you!

Our direction dream team, Judith Johnson (Director) and Graeme Brownlee (Musical Director) have made a powerful impact on the Society through a truly fresh and innovative approach. Their leadership has transformed the way we operate, inspiring progress, creativity, and a shared vision for our future. We are all excited for what can come next.

The Society are extremely grateful to have the support of many people and organisations.

We would particularly like to express our gratitude to Centre Stage Community Theatre who have been pivotal in the staging of our Musical Spectacular. Having two theatre organisations in our small town is truly wonderful and we look forward to strengthening this friendship for many years to come.

Also a huge thank you to Prostate Buddies D & G who have provided financial sponsorship for all our advertising. They are doing tremendous work in our region and we are very lucky to have their Chairman and founder, Roly P, as our resident drummer!

Our Musical Spectacular opens this evening at 7:30pm.

Langholm Musical Society, (formerly LAODS) bring to the Buccleuch Centre stage, new voices and well-kent faces. Backed by 103 years of community, creativity, and show-stopping moments to prove it!

Please come and support us this week. Shows nightly at 7:30pm, Wednesday to Saturday with an extra matinee performance on Saturday at 2:30pm.
