This was the question that guided a workshop we recently organised at The Centre @ Halton where people highlighted underused green spaces in the village, a lack of areas for people to gather outside, and limited connection between upper and lower Halton.
๐ก After thinking about how these issues could be addressed, two project ideas emerged:
1๏ธโฃ ๐ ๐ฐ๐ผ๐บ๐บ๐๐ป๐ถ๐๐ ๐ผ๐ฟ๐ฐ๐ต๐ฎ๐ฟ๐ฑ. Locals highlighted that this would provide a natural corridor in Halton while also providing a community outdoor space.
2๏ธโฃ ๐ฉ๐ถ๐น๐น๐ฎ๐ด๐ฒ ๐ฉ๐ผ๐น๐๐ป๐๐ฒ๐ฒ๐ฟ๐. Community groups, such as the scouts and the community centre, are always in need of volunteers. A village volunteer network would help these groups operate while also connecting people across the village.
Like any community event, not everyone can make it on the day.
