Lancaster and Morecambe Peer Support

Lancaster and Morecambe Peer Support Peer Support is a recovery and well-being centre for those with mild to severe and enduring mental health problems in the Lancaster and Morecambe area

Lancaster and Morecambe Peer Support is a recovery and well-being club for those with mild to severe and enduring mental health difficulties. We give our members the chance to stay in touch with friends and get involved in the local community, allowing them to stay healthy whilst increasing their confidence. We offer support with life skills and direct people to other services which they might fin

d helpful. We also have social activities such as crafts, games and trips – and newspapers to read in a friendly atmosphere. We offer reasonably priced refreshments at both venues and affordable nutritional meals at Morecambe. The club was restarted by members when the previous Trustees decided not to value the Charity's commitment to maintaining good mental health. We promote the safeguarding and preservation of mental health, and wherever possible we campaign for adequate day care and other facilities for those suffering from mental illness in the Lancaster District, and campaign to combat stigma and discrimination and stop bullying in ALL its forms.
