REMINDER. Weekly Coffee Mornings at Wray Village Institute!
Every Friday, from 10:00 AM to 12:30 PM starting tomorrow October 2nd 2026.

Thanks to a more space and availability in our community calendar, the Institute Trustees are thrilled to trial weekly coffee mornings right here at Wray Village Institute!

All are welcome. This event is all about generating greater use of our fantastic community asset. Catch up with familiar faces. Meet some new ones. Enjoy a change of scene and head on out. If you work from home - pop out for a break - we have B4RN wifi so you can still clinch that deal!

There are lots of community groups that organise events in the village. This may be a good chance to get the low down on who, where, what and when.

What to expect:
A proper brew: Hot, fresh, and ready for you.
Something to do (or not!): We provide the space but it's yours to develop as you wish. Bring some cards, organise a quick talk, volunteer to help out, or just sit back—it's your call.

There's no agenda. Just pop in whenever you fancy, stay for ten minutes or the whole event, and bring along a friend or neighbour.

We’d love nothing more than to fill the building with our community. We hope to see you there!

​Starting October 2nd, 10 to 12.30, join us every week for a coffee, a chat, and a chance to connect with your community.

​Want to bring along card games, a dusty musical instrument, organise a quick local interest talk, or introduce a new hobby group? You have full freedom to help us grow this weekly gathering into whatever you’d like it to be.

​Pop in, support the Institute, and help us make the most of this space!

A massive "Thank You" to everyone who made this year’s Produce Show at Wray Village Institute such a brilliant success!

To our Organising Team: Thank you for your hard work behind the scenes. Bringing an event like this together takes considerable planning, and your efforts truly paid off in creating a wonderful day for the community.

To all our Exhibitors: The show simply wouldn't exist without your creativity, passion, and enthusiasm. From impressive homegrown vegetables and beautiful floral displays to mouth-watering bakes and outstanding crafts, the high standard of entries was incredible.

To our Supporters & Visitors: Thank you to everyone who dropped in to help in setting up, who came to view or to attend the auction. After costs the auction and donations raised close to £400 to put towards trophy costs and next years show.

We look forward to seeing everyone again in 2027!

The 2026 Produce Show is underway in the Institute. Here are some photographs of the wonderful entries. Head down for viewing at 2.30pm. The auction of produce starts at 3pm. The money raised at the auction goes towards next year's show. Pop along and support this village tradition.

Wray Flower, Produce and Craft Show 2026

Wray Flower, Produce and Craft Show will take place on Saturday, 22nd August, 2026. Entry is open to residents of the Civil Parishes of Wray, Tatham and Roeburndale and to any child attending Wray School. Visitors to Wray will also be welcome to participate.

Take a look at the schedule (accessible via the google drive link below) and circle around any items you reckon you could put on show. Plenty to harvest in hedgerows and gardens at the moment and lots of time left to complete those artistic projects!

Remember, in the Junior section children can collect £2 when awarded a first prize certificate , £1 for second prize and 50p for third prize.

It costs nothing to enter and if you happen to be away on the 22nd then hand your items to a friend or neighbour to bring along on your behalf.

IMPORTANT:- There is an auction of produce after the show and the money raised will help fund next year’s show. Please lend your support to this long-running village tradition.
