Six group riders completed the NLTTA 100 which was also the National Championship at Keswick on Sunday. Andy Whiteside was fastest both on speed and AAT with his age record 3.48.42,
taking the famous Karrimor Saddle award, he was also winner of the Baxter Trophy for handicap, despite being on scratch. Andy's team mates at Springfield RT, David Hilditch and Paul Russell recorded 4.54.08 and 4.30.12 respectively to take 2nd and 3rd on both AAT and handicap. David was also CTT over 70s age group Champion, congratulations!
Nick Higginson of Cleveleys RC steered his road bike around for 4.46.57, and Stuart Phillipson VC Cumbria also on RB completed in 5.5.06. His team mate Clifford Degraff finished with 5.18.16.
Fastest open rider was Thomas Lee Team Bottrill with 3.24.07, and fastest woman was Naomi de Pennington, Drag2zero with 3.51.12.
Many thanks to our group members who turned up to time, marshal and generally help make the event a huge success.

The date for Dave Brown's funeral is Monday 20th July, 1.30pm at Pleasington Crematorium. Afterwards at the Butlers Arms.

We are sad to hear the death of long standing group member Dave Brown, at the age of 88.
Dave, a member of the North Lancs RC, was a well respected rider and official in the north west time trialling scene. He was the cycling correspondent for the Lancashire Telegraph for decades, and scribe to our national publication, The Veteran. As a rider he won countless events on standard and set many new age records. He organised so many events his address was was etched in your mind, and if he wasn't riding an event, he would probably be timing it.
l will keep you up to date on further details.
