1st Place (Joint) -
Tim Wall and Martin Mitchell - 4.5/5 - £225 each

Grading Prize U2100 -

Major Section U1900 -

1st Place - Robert Dean - 4.5/5 - £300

2nd Place - Andy Yang - 4/5 - £150

Lancaster University Player, Josh Cherrington (1665) - 3.5/5 - £100

Intermediate Section U1750 -

1st Place - James Marshall - 4.5/5 - £300
Player for Lancaster Uni he had a great tournament!

2nd Place (3 way tie) - Simon Lawrence, Paul Salisbury and Ethan Lim - 4/5

Ethan Lim also won the Best U16 Score and Inter Grading Prize (U1620). This calculated to Simon and Paul earning £75 and Ethan claiming a prize fund of £180.

Minor Section (U1500) -

1st Place - Andrew Crosby 5/5 (only player to achieve a 100% score) - £300
He also won the prize for best score from a player over aged 65 meaning he won a total of - £380

2nd Place - Xie Luofeng - 4.5/5 - £150

Grading Prize (U1200) - Joe Cherrington (1009K) - 3/5 - £100 - He is brother of Josh Cherrington great profit for the brothers!

So this means winners of the diversity prizes are!

On Thursday night our club prodigy Max Fyson took on 26 boards at Cleveleys Junior Chess Club playing his first ever simultaneous.

Max put in an impressive performance winning 25 and losing one (25-1) against a strong cohort of Cleveley youngsters.

With Max’s rating increasingly rapidly towards 2150 he continues to progress immensely. Well done Max!
