***Rider, Handler or Driver of the Year***

Do you own a horse or pony and live in the UK if so why not compete to be EquiCymru Rider, Handler or Driver of the year for 2025.

Points can be collected from the 1st March to 30th September.

All animals shown by the Rider/Handler/Driver must be based in the UK.

All entries must be signed by the Show/Event Secretary or evidence provided and spot checks will be completed to verify the results.

Points can be gained at any shows/events.

Points cards must be submitted to the EquiCymru office Bronaeron, Felinfach, Lampeter, Ceredigion, SA48 8AG by no later than the 31st October of that year.

The top three competitors for the Junior and Senior sections for all three categories will be announced via social media and rosettes will be awarded to all those placed.

Junior sections are 16 years and under. Senior sections 17yrs and over.

Points allocation

1st 6 points
2nd 4 Points
3rd 2 Points
4th 1 Point
Champion 10 Points
Reserve Champion 6 Points

The decision of EquiCymru is final on the eligibility of any competitor or results.

EquiPassports - provides passports for ID only equines who are not pedigree animals, who are bred or reside in the UK.

First time passports are currently available for only £20 between 1st July and 30th November 2025.

Registration forms can be downloaded here https://www.equicymru.co.uk/equine-passports or contact the office and we will post copies out to you.

All equines by law must be passported by 6 months of age or by the 30th November in the year of birth which ever is earliest.

If you have an older equine who is not currently passported it is never too late to comply. Please contact EquiCymru and we will help you with the passporting process.

EquiPassports are created and administered by EquiCymru under the auspices of the Welsh Pony and Cob Society. The passport issuing office reports to the Welsh Government.
