Remembering Tim Curry 🖤
We say farewell to a true legend of stage and screen.
Tim Curry has passed away at the age of 80 — an extraordinary performer whose unmistakable voice, incredible talent and wonderfully unique presence touched generations of audiences. From The Rocky Horror Show and The Rocky Horror Picture Show to It, Clue and so many unforgettable roles, his legacy is immense.
But for us, Tim will always hold a very special place in the story of Spamalot.
In 2005, Tim Curry originated the role of King Arthur in the original Broadway production of Monty Python's Spamalot, earning a Tony Award nomination for his performance. He later brought the role to the West End too.
As we prepare to bring Spamalot to the stage ourselves in March 2027, it feels especially poignant to remember the man who helped make King Arthur his own.
We hope that when our knights ride out, our coconuts clop and our quest for the Grail begins, we'll carry a little bit of that magic with us.
Thank you, Tim Curry, for helping to bring so much laughter, mischief and magic to the world of theatre.
Rest in peace, Your Majesty. 👑⚔️
And now, for one last time…
Thank you, Tim. ❤️
