Remembering Tim Curry 🖤

We say farewell to a true legend of stage and screen.

Tim Curry has passed away at the age of 80 — an extraordinary performer whose unmistakable voice, incredible talent and wonderfully unique presence touched generations of audiences. From The Rocky Horror Show and The Rocky Horror Picture Show to It, Clue and so many unforgettable roles, his legacy is immense.

But for us, Tim will always hold a very special place in the story of Spamalot.

In 2005, Tim Curry originated the role of King Arthur in the original Broadway production of Monty Python's Spamalot, earning a Tony Award nomination for his performance. He later brought the role to the West End too.

As we prepare to bring Spamalot to the stage ourselves in March 2027, it feels especially poignant to remember the man who helped make King Arthur his own.

We hope that when our knights ride out, our coconuts clop and our quest for the Grail begins, we'll carry a little bit of that magic with us.

Thank you, Tim Curry, for helping to bring so much laughter, mischief and magic to the world of theatre.

Rest in peace, Your Majesty. 👑⚔️

And now, for one last time…

Thank you, Tim. ❤️

✨Lets meet some more of our Ensemble members✨

Every ridiculous quest needs a gloriously daft bunch of adventurers — and ours are polishing their coconuts, warming up their battle cries, and preparing to bring the Kingdom of Camelot to life in the most wonderfully nonsensical way possible.

From blink‑and‑you‑miss‑them cameos to moments of pure comedic chaos, these brave(ish) performers are ready to tackle some of Spamalot’s most legendary roles… and survive them. Probably.

Raise your goblets, wave your imaginary swords, and give a thunderous Knowle Musical Society welcome to our fearless ensemble:

⭐ David Pratt
⭐ Mark Sidey
⭐ Deb King
⭐ Phil Seedhouse

Prepare yourselves, good people of Knowle — Monty Python’s Spamalot is galloping your way, and it’s bringing silliness, songs, and a suspiciously large number of coconuts. 🥥⚔️

🎭 Meet Dorian — Stage Manager

Dorian is taking on the all-important role of Stage Manager for our production of Spamalot! Keeping everything running smoothly behind the scenes, Dorian will be the calm amidst the chaos, making sure cast, crew, props and all the wonderfully ridiculous happenings are in the right place at the right time.

With plenty of organisation, a good eye for detail and (hopefully!) a healthy sense of humour, Dorian will be helping bring the madness of Camelot to life from the wings. Because when things go wrong on stage… there’s a very good chance Dorian already knew about it! 🏰🥥

Please give Dorian a huge welcome and show him some love in the comments! ❤️
