🔎 LOST PROPERTY – PLEASE TAKE A LOOK!

Our lost property collection at the gym has grown quite a bit recently, and we have lots of items waiting to be reunited with their owners!

We have everything from:
👕 Hoodies & tops
🧥 Jackets
💧 Water bottles
💍 Jewellery
🎒 Bags & other bits and pieces

There are some really good items in there, so please have a look through the lost property area the next time you’re at the gym and see if anything belongs to your child.

📅 Important: We’ll be clearing out any unclaimed items after 30th September. Items in good condition will be donated to charity, with anything else recycled where possible.

We’d much rather everything found its way back home first!

Unfortunately, we don’t have the time to individually search for, photograph or identify items via email or messages, so please come along and have a look in person.

If your child has lost something, this is definitely worth a rummage! 👀

📢 Trustees Wanted! 🤸‍♀️

Orkney Gymnastics Club is looking for new trustees to help support and guide the future of our club.

The roles are voluntary and involve attending approximately 4 meetings per year.

You don't need a gymnastics background, just an interest in helping a local community club continue to grow and provide opportunities for children and young people across Orkney.

Whether your expertise is in finance, business, governance, fundraising, marketing, HR, or simply a desire to make a positive contribution to our local community, we'd love to hear from you.

🚨 TERM 1 FEES REMINDER 🚨

Hello everyone,

There are still a few gymnasts who have attended classes whose Term 1 fees remain outstanding.

Please remember that fees are payable in advance of each block. Any outstanding payments should be made as soon as possible to secure your child's place in the class.

🤸‍♀️ CLASS RULES REMINDER 🤸‍♀️

A little reminder that British Gymnastics safety rules apply to all classes. Please make sure gymnasts arrive ready and appropriately dressed for gymnastics.

✨ All jewellery must be removed before taking part, including earrings/studs, necklaces, bracelets, watches, rings and 𝐩𝐞𝐫𝐦𝐚𝐧𝐞𝐧𝐭 jewellery is not permitted.

✨ Fresh piercings should be covered with tape for classes until they are ready to be removed, at which point the jewellery must be taken out before gymnastics.

✨ Long hair should be tied up securely and kept away from the face.

✨ Gymnasts should wear suitable training kit, such as a leotard or close-fitting sportswear.

There are still a few gymnasts who need to pay their fees, so please make sure these are paid before classes begin.

Also, please double-check your class time, as some classes have changed for Term 1.

We can’t wait to see everyone back in the gym! 💕🤸🏼‍♀️

Pre-school and ASN still need to be done, I am getting there I promise!

All children who attended the open trials should now have received an email with the outcome of their trial.

Hi everyone, just a quick update!

We're currently finalising term renewals and will have these set up in the coming days.

Squads return this week, while our recreational and pre-school classes will be back from next week.

We're also working through trial results, and these will be sent out shortly.

Last 2 weeks of the schools holidays - where has the time gone?

Remember we are still running gymnastics classes both in Stromness and Kirkwall, so there’s never any need to be at a loose end, there’s something for everyone! 🤸🏼‍♀️

We are a Community based club which allows members to enjoy and succeed in the sport of gymnastics at all levels of participation, fitness and ability and encourages community involvement and education in the development of the sport, in Orkney.
