Assistance plea.
Would anybody have old books/ annuals/ school books from yesteryear? We would like to look back at books our customers may remember in their childhood and teens. So 50, 60 & 70's would be ideal for reminiscing to those early childhood memories. Our café offers support for those living at home with dementia along with their family and friends This week, with it being world book day we'd like to think back to books that we may have read when growing up.
Your support and help greatly appreciated.
Thank you

A big Heartfelt THANK YOU from all the volunteers at Young at Heart memories café. We had a fun and enjoyable evening recently at The Royal British Legion holding a prize bingo. We raised £1600 on the night and we look forward to being able to continue our supportive work in the community helping those who have been affected by dementia. To ALL who helped in so many different ways make it a memorable night THANK YOU SO MUCH.

A heartfelt thank you from all the team and customers of Young at Heart memory café. We raised the sum of £1800 the 4 days we were in the blue door during island games week.
Sincere thanks to the wonderful team that organised and ran the blue door they were so cheerful ,helpful and accommodating. Thank you to all those who supplied the shop with stock, baking, raffles and came along to buy. Your support is very much appreciated.
We are always delighted to welcome new faces to the café so please do encourage those in our community that you know have dementia and/or memory problems. No confirmed diagnosis needs to be given. We have an informal get together, chat, cuppa and cake then usually an activity. Always good fun and laughter. A good tonic.
