Kirkstall Advent Trail

Kirkstall Advent Trail Kirkstall Advent is an illuminating trail for all the community. Festive windows with handmade displays are revealed each evening throughout Advent.

Started in 2020 as a means to bring Kirkstall's community together after a year of collective uncertainty, the Kirkstall Advent Trail revealed a new window display every day of the advent. Returning in 2021 to be bigger with more stops on the trail, the Kirkstall Advent Trail will provide an excellent excuse to have a wander around the neighbourhood of Kirkstall in West Leeds, and look at some home-made back-light art.

🎄 As we haven't got a photo for day 23, we thought we'd share one of the windows from a previous year.

This one was for day 16 back in December 2022. It was one of 4 window panes, the one with Kirkstall Abbey was made into Christmas card this year. It was tough to choose between the two, but the wee robin in the corner made it just that more Christmassy!

🎄 Whilst we wait for a photo for Day 21, we thought we would share with you some other advent news. This year we created a pack of ten Christmas cards from previous advent windows to help raise some funds for Kirkstall Art Trail. They sold out so quickly we had disappointed neighbours!

We will be doing something similar next year, perhaps with designs from this year. If you'd be interested in buying a pack of Kirkstall Advent Christmas cards next year, comment below and share your thoughts.
