Did you know that you can raise money for the Centre by doing nothing at all!! 🤩

If you register with Easy Fundraising and link it to your phone or computer, every time you buy something online that company will make a small donation to the Centre!

Lots of companies do this. From ordering groceries and buying clothes to buying concert and train tickets or booking a holiday - it all adds up!

I’ve been doing this myself since last year and have already raised over £80 for the Centre!

Last Tuesday evening the Horticultural Guild held their annual Plant Sale, Mini Quiz & Fish & Chip Supper!

Everyone had a great time and enjoyed the night!!

Next month we have Alan Peace coming along to give a talk on Barn Owls. Details above 👆🦉

New members to the Guild are welcome!!
It’s £10 per year to join & £3 per meeting, which is once a month.

They have garden / plant / wildlife themed talks, quizzes, trips and of course the Annual Show in September.

It’s ’Wednesday Club’ this week.

Alec Powell will be giving a talk about he came to set up a Circus whilst at the same time working at a Solicitors office in Birmingham!! 😄🤡

He has also worked as a Magician and will tell how he fitted that into the Circus ring. 🎪
It certainly sounds fascinating!!

£4 per person, which includes refreshments. ☕️

Our new blinds are looking very smart!!
They match well with our lovely newly recovered chairs.

It’s great progress as we slowly move towards a blue colour palette within the Centre.
We feel this will update the decor, but it’s a bit at a time as we can afford it!!

We’re trying to use local people & local businesses for everything that we do - so huge thanks (and a big recommendation!) to Handyman and Blinds 👍👏😊

Tomorrow’s Wednesday Club sounds extremely intriguing!!! 🤔😄

We have John Butterworth giving a talk called ‘Official Invitation to China’. 🇨🇳

In 1986 John was one of 4 newspaper editors invited on the first official visit to China as it opened its borders after years of isolation. He went to areas that visitors don’t usually see as well as the many tourist sites.

We’re thoroughly looking forward to listening to his stories and tales about the subject!!

It starts at 2pm and costs £4 per person which includes refreshments. ☕️

We have a fantastic talk taking place this week at the Thursday at 2 Club!!

Max Keen will be telling us about the history and times of Dudley Castle from its origin in 1070AD.

This looks to be a thoroughly interesting locally themed afternoon.

£5 Admission and the fun all starts at 2.00 pm.

Wednesday Club is tomorrow!! 😄👏

This week we have the fascinating Ron Popple who will give a talk about the ‘History of Punch & Judy’, followed by our very own Punch & Judy show!! 😄

Ron is a member of both the Association of the Inner Magic Circle & the Punch & Judy Fellowship.
He is a marvellous entertainer and extremely knowledgeable. It’s sure to be a fabulous afternoon.

Tomorrow’s Wednesday Club has a real local theme to it.

We welcome John Homer, who will give talk a called “Why Black Country”.
John is well known for his work at The Black Country Living Museum and has even appeared on television.

His vast knowledge of the Black Country and its history will be highlighted in this fascinating talk about the area!

Wednesday Club is this afternoon at 2pm!!

Today we have glass expert Kate Round giving a talk about designers making objects that are both desirable and collectable.

Spanning the years 2500BCE to the 20th Century, Kate will set out the development of fashion in glassware into the odern era focusing on the designers who made sure that Stuart Crystal products were so successful.
