Surrey Historic Buildings Trust is delighted to support the repair works and alterations to Cranleigh Cottage Hospital, Nappers Cottage, a Grade II listed building, with a grant of £5,000 to ensure its future viable use. Nappers Cottage dates from 1446. In 1859, the cottage became the first village hospital in England. It has not been used by the NHS since 2007. Cranleigh Heritage Trust has been granted a lease by the NHS and is refurbishing the building for use as a health and wellbeing centre.
