Join us this Saturday for the second, and likely final, jam making session this year. Where we take the last of this years harvest and preserve it along with other available ingredients. Jam made at the session will be both sold and used in our annual Winter hampers. This time, citrus and other jams!

Monthly Munchies.

Another month, another delicious selection of recipes you can take part in🫕. Connect with others, learn new recipes, take a meal home with you, learn how surplus can supplement your cooking. All this and more through a 2 hour course for £5!

We've also extended our booking widow for each class. You can now book up to until 48 hours before any session instead of a full week! 📅

We've had a great time at our recent jam making event (more to come on that soon), but ahead of another jam making session coming (10th October📅), we're appealing to the community for any unwanted Jam Jars🫙to reduce buying new jars in.

Also, If you have any fruit🍏🍎🍊 🍑🍒from your own trees you'd like to offer to donate ahead of the session on the 10th October, please reach out to Dr. Tariq Shabbeer on: 07443508514.

Jam packed FREE🎫 events this week with Save the World Club at our hub at 📍18 Southsea Road, Kingston upon Thames, KT1 2EH!

We have more Gardening sessions👩‍🌾👨‍🌾, both at the charity hub: 18 Southsea Road and the Kingston Orchard Project throughout September (more sessions in October too).

Our weekly open Jam sessions each Friday 4-6pm. 🎼

Our star attraction✨ this week being our annual apple pressing🍎🍏, jam making and cooking demonstration as we process all the apples we possibly can, all collected from the Kingston Orchard Project🌳, grown locally here, in Kingston!

To help this along, we're also *for this week only* holding our Square 1 Cafe ☕ at our hub to enable our regulars to both catch up and take part if they so choose. While it's here, why not see if it's for you? They run every week minus a few holidays and are a great place to connect.

People's Emergency Briefing.

The 50 minute film, which was also screened as the National Emergency Briefing, features leading scientists, a former general, and public figures like Chris Packham, Jennifer Saunders and Deborah Meaden.

It focuses on how the ecological and climate crises impact on all society, including food security, health, and national security, while also discussing practical, positive solutions.

The screening will be followed by a discussion where you can share your thoughts, feelings and find out how you can get involved in positive action locally.

Super September!

This September we have a wonderful selection of events.

Special mentions:
Sunday 6th we'll be repairing, cleaning and maintaining the Malden Manor Mosaic and are looking for volunteers to take part.

Growing your own food sessions make their return Thursdays & Sundays (they should also be running next month).

Jam making using produce from the Kingston Orchard Project will happen on the 19th.

Lastly, cooking sessions this month will be: Sliced Chicken & Veggie Crispy Noodles, Shepheard's Pie, and Apple Rose Cake.
