A week ago we took this gorgeous boy in following concern about his welfare. Since then most people have agreed that we did the right thing but we did have to tolerate a couple of trolls who thought they should be able to dictate our actions despite not knowing the facts. It made us wonder whether we should share the news or not but, ultimately, we just want the best outcome for the cat and if that means tolerating ignorant people we will do so.
With some help from very well meaning neighbours, we found the owner. A discussion was had where the owner was able to explain their position and they agreed to sign him over to us. They have acted in his best interests. Whatever occurred before doesn't matter now, finding Casper, his new name, a good home is the most important thing. He is being neutered, and microchipped, in the morning and his new home is, hopefully, going to be sorted soon πŸ™
We have had several offers already but they are from outside the city and we would prefer somewhere closer, if possible.
If you can offer this young man a good home please pm us and we will arrange a homecheck. Please consider that being a pedigree means he will need a vet plan for the future 😻

JANETTE BURGES- We are looking for you!
We are trying to find the registered owner of a cat but have had no luck with the phone number or with going to the address. The cat is safe, and relatively well, but we need to find where they are supposed to be living as they are staying in a garden. If you know of this person, or of a family member, please pm the details so we can sort out the future home/rehoming πŸ™ Thanks guys 😻

HELP! We are in need of a small shed for one of our foster carers. She's caring for a LOT of our kittens and that takes a lot of stock. We have taken over the house so need to make things a little easier by providing some storage for the multiple pens, crates plus food, litter and sundries. The garden isn't overly large so we can only add a small unit but it would really help. She does a fabulous job with the kittens and has two more ready for new homes this week. Even spicy Delilah has turned into Baby Spice thanks to cuddles and patience 😻

This evening we were invited to Hull Animal Welfare Trust for a celebration which turned out to be the unveiling of a Mobile Veterinary Clinic! It was such a surprise and they should be incredibly proud of making this happen. The amount of work that has been put into getting the funding and creating a vehicle that even has environmental adaptations is astonishing. The difference its going to make when it hits the streets is going to be breathtaking and we were deeply honoured to have been invited to the unveiling. We already knew that they go above and beyond but now they can go even further! Congratulations to Holly Barker and everyone at HAWT. You really are fabulous 😻😻😻😻😻😻😻😻😻😻😻😻😻😻😻😻

A few days ago Purr-fect Pals Rescue were called to rescue a kitten in Hull and they got them to safety. The next day mum turned up, searching for the kitten and then another kitten turned up. We were asked for help but I really didn't think we could as we're full. The team couldn't say no though so Clare went to find mum and kitten and Louise went to find another pen and another space. They did it! The kitten was so small she was hiding under a freezer and mum took refuge in a shed but sheds are Clare's speciality😁 so they were rounded up. Mum is protective of her little girl but very friendly. Unfortunately, this girl that has clearly had an owner, had an owner that neither microchipped or spayed her and she found herself on the streets with two kittens to care for! What a great owner she had πŸ₯². The first kitten is staying in Bridlington so she's left with little T***s. Mum has been called Minnie.
They're safe but they should never have been left so vulnerable in the first place. If the owner would like to come forward and explain why they failed this sweet girl so terribly we would love to hear their excuses. In the meantime, we'll do our best to prepare them both for the future and, when the time comes, Minnie will be spayed 😻

Would you want a Streetcat in your house?
Do you think they will be dirty and smelly or something? If a cat is dirty, it's because of where it is having to live, or due to illness, its not because they are dirty creatures. 😾
Rose came off the streets and we got her spayed, and rehomed, now she is a beautiful girl with a gorgeous shiny coat who loves having a family that cares for her and she is able to show her full potential at last 😻
We can struggle to find homes for the adults and it sometimes seems as if they are overlooked because they are streetcats, not cats that are bought for thousands of pounds. People worry about vet bills because they've come from the streets but you are far more likely to face massive bills with a pedigree cat that you bought from a breeder! All of the overbreeding, and inbreeding, means they often have genetic issues. It's also ethically wrong to encourage the breeding of cats when there's thousands on our streets needing help.
If you're looking to add a cat to your home, look for a Rose and allow her to evolve into Rosie, not a streetcat, a family cat 🀩

Clover said she's shown how friendly she is and that means her furever family should have been in touch by now! After spending two weeks having to beg for food before being scanned and taken into foster care she had to learn how to let people know she was there. She's on the small side and clearly got used to being invisible. It's made her a little vocal but that should settle down when she feels secure again. We've no idea what her background is but she's clearly domesticated and now she's been spayed too so she's ready to start her new journey. This friendly young lady just wants a lap to claim as her own 😻
Thank you to the person that sent the cat biscuits. They all love biscuits but some of the boys much prefer biscuits to wet food 😺
We've started the week with more vet trips and Fluffy is now spayed. Once she's recovered from the operation she will be returned to the area she was found. She has multiple feeders but she won't be having multiple litters, not any more 😺

Thank you for the latest food donations 😊. The kittens are growing quickly and chomping their way through a lot of food so we're very grateful for all support 😻
Mango is still looking for her furever home 😿. It's unusual to get a ginger female and Mango is a gorgeous colour. She's come a long way since being found in the shed with six babies. All six have now been rehomed so we're looking to give Mango a happy ending too. She has been spayed but she needs someone who can be patient with her. It has only been.a couple of months since she came from the streets and she's adapted well, considering. With the right person she could grow into a confident and affectionate cat but she's better without other cats. If you can provide the home she deserves, please pm and we'll arrange a homecheck for you 😺

Our latest intake from last night and they're not happy about it! Very spicy but Louise will charm them again, I'm sure 😻
Our next fundraiser is nearly here too! Next Saturday 20th June from 12 noon until 6pm.
We had a fabulous time at the last one and we are hoping this one goes as well, if not better. We particularly enjoy meeting our supporters who come to meet us on the day so we can put faces to names and take feedback on how we're doing. In just 14 months the team have achieved so much but we are always anxious to improve as the cats are relying on us and the numbers needing help keep growing. We are fortunate to have such dedicated people who are happy to share their skills and even learn new ones for us. We will be arranging more Microchipping Events in the future but we need to check Karla's diary first πŸ˜‰. We asked her to train, and qualify, for microchipping and she did ! πŸ˜€. We now have two qualified microchippers on the team and we are really proud of them both, Karla and Kat 😻 😻
