WHEN YOUR ATTACKER ATTACKS YOU FOR ATTACKING YOU (Yes, You Read That Right)
There’s a strange and deeply spiritual irony that plays out in many communities — especially in places where witchcraft, envy, or spiritual warfare are openly acknowledged. It’s the phenomenon where the person who attacks you becomes convinced that you’re the one attacking them back.
It usually begins with guilt — the silent whisper of conscience that comes after a secret act of harm. They might have gone to a “spiritual person,” a herbalist, or a so-called prophet, trying to stop their own misfortune or to “teach someone a lesson.” In their heart, they know what they’ve done isn’t right. But because they can’t admit it, their conscience begins to twist their perception. Every problem they face suddenly looks like revenge.
So instead of repenting, they double down.
They pray harder — not to be forgiven, but to “destroy their enemies.”
They visit more shrines, do more sacrifices, send more arrows, all in fear of an attack that never came from you in the first place.
And while they’re busy fighting shadows of their own guilt, you — the innocent one — become the target of their paranoia.
They whisper your name in fear, hatred, and suspicion. They accuse you of doing the very thing they’ve been doing in secret. They interpret your silence as “spiritual confidence,” your progress as “proof of power,” your peace as “evidence of protection.”
But here’s what I’ve come to understand:
Spiritual energy responds to alignment. When your heart is clean, you don’t need to curse anyone; your peace itself becomes your protection.
When you choose forgiveness over revenge, light over darkness, heaven fights for you in ways you don’t even see.
You don’t have to attack back.
You don’t have to prove your innocence.
You don’t even have to know the full story.
Because the moment you start fighting on their level, you start living in their world. A world of suspicion, fear, and endless retaliation. That’s not your portion.
If you’ve ever felt that strange resistance from someone you’ve done nothing to…
If you’ve noticed their attitude shift without reason, their words laced with bitterness or strange accusations, don’t panic. Just stay pure, stay prayerful, and stay out of the cycle.
Let your silence be your shield and your peace be your proof.
God sees what happens in secret and no wickedness is everlasting.
So when your attacker attacks you for attacking you, remember:
They’re not seeing you. They’re seeing the reflection of their own heart.
