Meet - The Family.

A rare shot of them altogether: our Sheila (large, £5), Shazza (medium, £3.50), Rosa (light pad, £2.50) and The Stingray (daily liner, £2).

You can still order a free sample of any size if you have never tried a reusable before. Pads continue to be free to those in need - if you can pay, you’re directly helping them out by enabling us to offer this - thank you our lovely customers!! A reusable means the long term unnecessary costs of having a period can be cut right down for those who may need it most.

Also, we’ve been experimenting with some individual tailored samples for people with specific needs. If you DM us with your problem, we’re willing to give a reusable solution a try! - In return, being a guinea pig for a new design is a great help.

Thanks to all you beauties who have donated your unwanted materials while recycling places are closed! And thanks For modelling.

Had so many beautiful responses since our last post that I had to make three trips to pick up your donations of unwanted materials this morning, and there’s more on the way - keeping our reusable menstrual wear coming for the foreseeable during lockdown!

Will keep you posted with the designs that are inspired by this fresh material :D

So I’m down to my last broken brolly.

Sure, I could order some new waterproof fabrics online to make our wares, but the production of new plastics is not what we’re all about! Sadly due to lockdown however, my usual go-tos for recycling (such as charity shops and ) Are a non option.

So this is a shout out to you! do you live in Hull? Have you been ‘organising’ your neglected cupboards and drawers whilst in lockdown? Frustrated that you can’t take stuff to the charity shop or recycling centre? Want to continue to help those hardest hit, afford to have a period, especially when struggling to buy disposables during lockdown? Are you an all round sweethearted dreamboat?

Can I come take your unwanted stuff off your hands?

Here’s an idea of what we can recycle:

Brollies, anoraks, blackout blind fabric, felt of any kind, baby bibs, towels, sheets, duvet covers, pillow cases, and - many kinds of clothing of non-synthetic (natural fibre) fabrics.

We also wouldn’t be saying no now to your unwanted cotton machine threads, button cotton, spare rotary cutter blades, or sew-on poppers! - only if they’re no longer welcome under the stairs, of course.

- for anyone concerned about Covid-transmission and hygiene through donations: pick-ups will be non-contact, we wait 24 hours before unpacking (the longest the virus is believed to be able to live on fabrics) and your stuff will be washed again before it gets reused.

Meet - The Shazza.

Un hommage to our Essex roots. Likes fancy beachwear and sunbathing (preferably in Malaga, but she’s counting her carbon footprint these days. Clacton On Sea will get the job done).
Shazzas have a medium absorbency, designed for your mid-cycle daywear.

Meet - The Rosa.
Today’s design discovery was inspired by an old and cherished friend, showing her support from afar. , you’re so lovely!
The Rosa is a light/regular pad. She’s classy.

Come a long way since the first try on the overlocker machine. A lot of [sacred] mistakes still go into crafting each piece from rags to result. But I think we’ll always be just a tiny bit, gorgeously - wonky.
