OCD SUPPORT - Hull & East Yorkshire

OCD SUPPORT - Hull & East Yorkshire OCD SUPPORT is a support group for those with OCD or for those affected by it (such as family, friends, etc). Check our about page for more info.

Meetings are held 7-9pm on the first Monday of the month (or the second if this falls on a bank holiday). OCD SUPPORT is a holistic, self-help support group for anybody and everybody who may suffer with Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD) or who may be affected by it such as family, friends, or partners. The group is lead by volunteers who have first hand experience dealing with OCD and other ment

al health conditions. Our group meetings are on the first Monday of every month from 7.00pm-9.00pm (But if that Monday happens to fall on a bank holiday, we will meet on the second Monday of the month at the same time). Our meetings are held at:
The Quaker Meeting House, Bean Street, Anlaby Road, (near Hull Royal Infirmary hospital), Hull, HU3 2PR. We aim to respond to all queries within 3-5 working days. However due to our group being entirely run on volunteers, on occasion it may take us a little longer so please be patient. We welcome people from the ages 16 years old and upwards; however, anyone under the age of 18 years must be accompanied by an adult. Please feel free to message us here, or email us at [email protected] for more information!

Support groups can really help people feel less isolated!

Throwback to when the legend that is Robbie Williams shared a post with his followers about who we are and what we do. 🙌

A powerful reminder that no matter who you are or how successful you are, anyone can struggle with their mental health and need support.

We welcome men from all walks of life at our groups. ANY man 18+ is welcome. ❤️

The groups run every Monday 7-9PM (excluding bank holidays) for any man 18+. Why not come along and give them a go?

NO booking. NO fees. Nothing to loose. 👌

Visit our website to find your nearest group or drop us an email to [email protected] to join our online groups.

Our support group is the only one in the area for OCD. Set up over ten years ago (by someone who has many years lived experience of OCD and has had a journey of recovery) it gives people a safe space to talk through and make sense of their experiences with others, reduce isolation and give hope. You are not alone, we can face this together! 🙂 You do not need to have a diagnosis and we are there for partners, family, colleagues, carers and friends of people with OCD too! We also support people struggling with BDD, hoarding, and other related difficulties. You have nothing to lose by giving our friendly group a try! 💙❤️💚

SAVE THE DATE: We can't wait!

OCD Awareness Week is coming up October 12-18. This worldwide event serves to dispel myths about obsessive compulsive disorder, break the stigma around mental illness, and provide education about the disorder and how to support those affected.

There are countless ways to participate in ! Check out our official page for the many ways YOU can get involved at iocdf.org/ocdweek.

We are always on the look out for volunteers to help ensure the continued running of our support group! 🙂 Our website has more info and an application form: https://ocdsupport.co.uk/volunteering-with-us/

We're looking for volunteers to join our team! This could be helping at the support group itself (setting up/working towards co-facilitating) and/or working behind the scenes in a more administrative role. There are also opportunities for marketing and fundraising! Some knowledge or experience of OCD or mental health problems is desired but not essential. All volunteers will undergo a DBS check and safeguarding training both which we provide. Please email [email protected] if interested!
